James Lowe

Post by carlow man »

Is he back in training? Haven't heard anything about his injury. It was 4 weeks ago and yet no update was given on his injury or how long he may be out for? Anyone know when he may be back?

Seen him running and working hard on it with two Leinster trainers / Physios. Have spoken to my Club S&C guy and Sports doctor and all say he could not work on a calf injury if it was in any way doubtful.

Very confident he'll be available and fully fit.

I wouldn't put it up if it wasn't true.

I'd start him next week one way or the other - regardless of his lack of gametime. He just gives us something totally different to all of our other wingers, and brings another dimension to both our attack and our defensive kicking game.

On top of that - it's not like any of our other wingers are pulling up trees in recent weeks either. I'd take James Lowe at 70% over TOB or D Kearney or even Jordan Larmour right now.

Totally agree, winger is a relative weak spot for us right now, we need Lowe on the pitch. Hopefully he’s in better condition than this time last year, but he was reasonably effective from the boot in Marseille even if he lacked his carrying threat.

I thought TOB was v good Saturday. Huge step up to HEC though, and he's only just back. He has wheels, nice step, good in the air, and brave.

The speed of him for his "nearly" try!!!
The Munster lads had a decent head start on him and he just left them standing. Deserved a try but one of the many, many, many bits of misfortune for Leinster and good luck for Munster in the game.

Hard to know whether it was the right decision to play him. He was poor by his usual standards. When he has knocked on like that on his own try line like that before. His kicking in the second half was bad alongside JGP who seemed spooked by the pressure we were under. Sending James and his family love after their loss.
