URC Quarter- Final v Sharks

Post by Ruckedtobits »

RTE website, not the sharpest in the world, has our URC Quarter Final scheduled against Sale Sharks at 2 pm on Friday 5th May in the RDS, the same day and time as the other games.

Have they got any of this right?

We are playing the Sharks, just not the Manchester version;
We are playing in the URC Quarter Final, but where and when are unknown

Given the Heineken Semi is the previous Saturday and the Sharks are travelling, I would not be surprised if we play in RDS on Saturday in the 5.30 slot.

Ulster will have 2nd choice and it wouldn't surprise me if they choose Friday night.
Stormers and Bulls would be happy with 1-3 pm kick-off on Saturday leaving Glasgow to play Munster on Saturday at 7.30 pm or Sunday at 3 pm.

Given they have a Challenge Cup S/F next Saturday, the extra day might suit them. It will also discomfort the maximum number of Munster fans.

The RDS is unavailable for the rest of the season, so we won't be playing anyone there.

With the Springsteen gigs on the Friday and Sunday in the RDS I assume our qf will most likely be played on the Saturday, if only to avoid needless congestion around Ballsbridge

Lower tier only. I really hope they don't push season ticket holders into the corners again!

Prices ranging from €25 - €65 w/ limited amount of €10 available during pre-sale. ST holders get 20% discount during pre-sale window (tues-wed).

Is it the very lower tier only or Premium as well like the Leicester game? I know it's on a par with RDS pricing but €65 seems quite steep if not premium level

Given that The Boss tends to come on stage and play straight through for 3 hours, ..the heart-stopping, pants-dropping, house-rocking, earth-quaking, booty-shaking, Viagra-taking, love-making –le-gen-dary E – Street – Band, tend not to be the warm up/support act🎶 🎸🥁🎻🎺🎶!

Thinking about it. The pitch would be melted anyway. No way it would recover in a week

Sharks coming north without Kolisi who it's being reported is out for at least 4 months and potentially 9.

Etzebeth already out of the game.

I saw the Kolisi injury – unfortunately one of those classic "it didn't look that bad = that's going to be bad" knee injuries of the Jordi Murphy in Chicago 2016 type. He will be a huge loss to both the Sharks and SA.

I just got tickets on the half way line in one of the middle rows so I'm happy with that.
