I have this vague recollection that some English teams used letters on their jerseys, Leicester, in the amateur days, come to mind.
No idea what the correlation between the letters and the numbers was.
Maybe somebody can shed some light on the matter.
It may have been a league thing but pretty sure some union teams did it too.

Leicester did it ABC = 123, hence their front row being known as the ABC club

Yep played for Nots back in the day! Not quite the Irish Quinn brothers Kevin and Gerry who were both dual internationals! Jeff Wilson played cricket for New Zealand too if memory serves.

Doesn’t matter it’s not the Welsh squad players that are only affected but currently all the region teams squads are currently on renewal freezes, so it would be the whole Welsh player base that could go on strike. If that happens we will likely be awarded the full points.

Sorry - yeah, get that. I meant it in reference to that first point about Garland not releasing players to the regions.

I think its next week that they are targeting, Dragons lads are probably planning a night out in Dublin with no game the following weekend.
