I was looking at that Stormers game a couple of weeks ago and felt it would be tricky due to player availability.
Hopefully they will drop points In the meantime and it won’t have a major significance.
Hopefully by then we will have a few of the long term guys back and guys who were bit players in the 6 Nations

The SA teams have a big advantage during the 6N
Dont Panic!
Re: Leinster V Cardiff, Sat 28th Jan 17:05
I think they're losing the Boks to triaining camps over the 6Ns.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014
Ruddock(c) 19/2 Tackles

Re: Leinster V Cardiff, Sat 28th Jan 17:05
Hopefully the round of SA derbies so us a favour with the Stormers losing.
We get to play teams missing internationals in our games too, until we have our top of the table (so far) clash with the Stormers.
All of Munsters games except the Scarlets one will be against teams missing more players than them. Jammy barstewards. Even then the Scarlets are missing 6 players and Munster are at home. Should be 4 easy enough wins, 2 against teams just ahead of them. The 2 teams below them play us.

Jenkins is the image on the Leinster website for this game.
Is he back?
Is he back?
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Think we will go that second string? We should have all the internationals at that point still, I’d expect a much stronger squad personally.

Ah ok, wasn't aware, that's a fairly callow team so, particularly in the backs

Re: Leinster V Cardiff, Sat 28th Jan 17:05
it would be nice to have a Ngati and or DK peppered in the backs for a bit of 'nous'. It would be great to get Jenkins back.. the longer his absence the more I worry. Think he and Furlong are going to be key come the business end. Big Mike will be running on fumes come the end of the 6N; unless Tom C really steps up.

Re: Leinster V Cardiff, Sat 28th Jan 17:05
AFAIK Ngati is out for a few weeks.
Re: Leinster V Cardiff, Sat 28th Jan 17:05
I think there is plenty of rest for players who aren't playing in the Six Nations. There's the game against Cardiff [at home], then two weekends off, then the game against the Dragons [at home], then a week off, then the game in Edinburgh and another two weeks off before the Stormers game [at home]. Very little travel and plenty of weekends off.desperado wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2023, 11:32 am it would be nice to have a Ngati and or DK peppered in the backs for a bit of 'nous'. Leo's decision on Jenkins will be made by the medical staff, I'm sure. From what has been released, it was a hamstring injury. The longer the rest, the better. If he's not ready for Cardiff, he will have that weekend plus the next two off before the Dragons game. If the medics think he's ready to play, he'll probably play.
Re: Leinster V Cardiff, Sat 28th Jan 17:05
Yeah, agree with that. Best not to rush back with a bad hammy especially in the rowhugonaut wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2023, 12:35 pmI think there is plenty of rest for players who aren't playing in the Six Nations. No real alternative to Mike, but a start here will put him over 800 minutes this season with us (and then his time with Samoa).mildlyinterested wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2023, 9:43 am Soooo...

Any appearance for Molony will put him over 900 minutes - he and Ross are neck and neck for most minutes played this season.
I wonder will we see Prendergast on the bench ahead of Tector? He's been involved with a couple of the matchday squads lately I think?

Assume Prendergast will be with the U-20's.curates_egg wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2023, 1:14 pmNo real alternative to Mike, but a start here will put him over 800 minutes this season with us (and then his time with Samoa).mildlyinterested wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2023, 9:43 am Soooo...

Prendergast was exposed to match day squads, but Tector has actually played.curates_egg wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2023, 1:14 pm

Yeah. I know Tector has played but I was reading through the lines that Prendergast was being 'groomed' for senior squad integration. Won't be until after the six nations if at all so.
Good opportunity for Tector to turn the coaches' heads.
