It's time for the traditional Christmas Aviva game!!! In January!

To be fair, Gloucester at home in December would have been a hard sell and it would have been especially grim watching Leinster take on their B side in a half empty stadium. So it was understandable that Leinster plumped for the Racing game in the Aviva even if it meant losing the pre-Christmas crowd.

Great write up, Jim, and highly entertaining!!!

Just saw the presser with Leo after the team announcement. He was very low key, serious, almost glum. They asked him about home advantage in the ko games, his response: it's no guarantee of anything, quoting prior home losses in ko games.
I like it.
There's a steely eyed determination this season, more so than ever.

49000 would be fantastic but did they open up every block? West Upper blocks 523-529 just always seem to be grey. I figured they didn't open up seats there but maybe they did

You could be right - the fact that there are seats in 502, 505, 506. 507, 508 and 509 (even if in some its just a handful) might suggest that 523 to 529 were held back and those blocks add up to approximately 4,900 seats which would leave just under 45k sold

I have 2 spare tickets for Block 122 Row €60 each if anyone wants them.
Only issue is you'll have to enter with me. I had already left when the owners cancelled on me so I don't have printed tickets.

You can take a picture of and send the QR code/barcode on the tickets and it'll work FYI.

Yes I've done it before, you just need to make sure QR code is legible but it will work. Person you send to can then hold it under the auto scanner thing.

Screenshot it on your phone and WhatsApp the image works fine.

Just make sure you don't scan that ticket going in

I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

Did Porter start the game. I've been half watching game as I'm stuck doing something for the start of the game. Theres pictures of Porter bleeding during the warmup.

He’s on the pitch alright, but I wouldn’t say any of our lads have really got started. More fumbles than a teenage disco.

Leinster started today's match, as if they just had to pick up where they'd left off against Gloucester last week. That was a mistake. At the end of the match last week, Gloucester were a beaten team, Racing are anything but. Let's bash them up a bit first in the second half and then run in a few tries. Remember "Ye olde 'gotta earn the right to go wide'"?......

Carley is always extremely, extremely pedantic. Consistently, far too many penalties are given in game featuring him, especially against the attacking side. It's affecting both teams equally to be fair.
"This is breathless stuff.....it's on again. Contepomi out to Hickie,D'Arcy,Hickie.......................HICKIE FOR THE CORNER! THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
