5 hour delay for take off. Got to Le Harvre and couldn’t land. Circled for an hour and then headed to Paris will be a 2 1/2 hour bus journey now back to Le Harvre. No captains run or prep for the team today.

That game last week was mad!

After 35 minutes the RDS was in shock. After Cian Healy's red card Ulster racked up three quickfire tries and it looked like the Northeners would put a serious number up on Leinster. It wasn't like Leinster were playing that well even before the red card as their play had been littered with basic errors.

I decided to leave after the fourth delay. Now looks like the flight is actually going. Oops.

Flew out last night only delayed by one hour hopefully they can chill tonight and deliver victory tomorrow

Healy as cover at tight head worries me. I’m not sure why the coaches have such little faith in Vakh. No doubt there’s been an emphasis this week on the line out and Baird strengthens this area.
Hopefully the backs will be better than last week when, particularly in the first half, there was no continuity and successive positions were ended by basic errors.

Really excited and nervous. The final is in our backyard so let’s make sure we’re there. The (delayed) journey starts on the north coast of France

Why is it an organisational f%~k up? How can Leinster account for a massive delay and then landing in Paris instead of La Harve?

In Dublin Airport now and it is just a mess, loads of flights waiting to go but only seems to be one de-icing truck working so it's comical shambolic nonsense........that is what is delaying planes, runways clear, piles of planes all over the place.....

I thought that experiment was a failure but we returned to it this season. Clarkson also doesn’t look ready at this level.

We had a discussion on him on the match thread a couple of weeks bakh.
Effectively, he is number 5 in the pecking order. Clarkson is consistently selected over him (also for Ireland). But Clarkson is not trusted at this level, so it seems Church is the least bad option available to the coaches.

It's really not an endorsement of either Clarkson or Vakh. Healy unfortunately looks to finally have gone over the cliff this season, in terms of his play in the loose. And he is clearly not exactly a top class tighthead scrummager...although he hasn't had any major disaster. But he has played, what, 20 minutes there this season?

As an aside, John Ryan, who I was always convinced Munster were mad to let go, is starting for them against Toulouse, as good as fresh off the boat, with Salanoa on the bench. So the situation is not that much different anywhere else.

Flight scheduled to depart Dublin at 10.00 am so assume team were in the airport before 8.00 am - likely to be midnight before they get to their hotel.

Stuck in cramped seats for hours, sounds like little/no food and no captain's run - prep for tomorrow could hardly have been worse.

Still hopeful... bring it on.

The team did have a long day but mostly just hanging around
Eating lots and watching the World Cup
They seemed in good spirits and most of them got a taxi ride to the hotel in Le Havre - 2 hours drive
Not ideal but hardly a death knell to their chances for tomorrow

The weather both in Dublin and Le Havre mostly to blame
Their only mistake was hanging around Beauvais waiting for a Ryanair bus
They should have got the taxis straight on arrival
