Well done Josh. Well deserved.
And for the the 4 lads from Leinster that made the dream team Tadhg, Tadhg, Johnny and Josh. :happy clapper: :happy clapper:

How did Ardie Savea not get nominated? For me Savea is by far the best player in the world this year. Absolute joke the way he didn’t get nominated

Delighted for Josh - that is an absolutely incredible achievement and it couldn't go to a more decent guy.

He is an outstanding representative of and for Leinster and a great example for young players across this country. He has grown so much as a player year on year – he wasn't a player who everyone was raving about at schools or age-grade level, this phenomenal athletic phenom who was naturally head-and-shoulders above his peers. He is a guy who has worked incredibly hard through practically every minute of his professional life to be the best player he can be ... and he has ended up being the best player in the world!

It is an incredibly difficult award to even get nominated for, never mind to actually win it. Really delighted for him.

It's a truly great achievement. Up there in the history books with McCaw, Carter, Dusautoir, Wilkinson, Kieran Read etc., the absolute legends of the game.

I don’t know what to say that hasn’t been said already.

A pure class act who just seems to prove again and again just how good he is

The interview he gave in the 42 was very true. He went to RWC 2019 as like 3rd choice elevated by injury and it really wasn't clear he'd still be 1st choice in the Farrell era given how Ruthless Faz has been in cutting/elevating players. He had to make it happen and he did. I'm as guilty as the next fella of looking of the new shiny next "big thing". He's sat them all down.

A lot of people would have had SOB or Leavy ahead of him but neither of them have ever strung together that kind of run of form for 16 months. Richly deserved.

Perfect advertisement of what can be achieved with consistent hard work, discipline, and a never-say-die attitude. Few would have predicted his ascent to world-class status even a few years ago. Really quite incredible and a lovely guy to boot.
