I'm never surprised when BOD appears far less in touch with current rugby than you'd expect him to be.

Well we did rehabilitate the career of one fallen coach. But that was different.

The Leocaster structure worked because of how well they worked together and how desperately they both needed it to work. Repeating it is folly.

Leo has tended to stay in the Leinster family, so Whitaker or McNamara are likely names. I wonder would Leo expand the coaching too with an entry level position.

Murphy was an unmitigated disaster as a coach. During his two seasons as head coach of Leicester, they finished second last in their league twice and won 13 league games out of 44. Leicester would have been relegated if Saracens hadn't got that massive points deduction for cheating that nailed them to the bottom of the table. He also made a bunch of stupid comments and was banned for three games. That's a dreadful suggestion from Drico.

Some interesting stuff from ROG at the end of this conversation about Andrew Goodman.

Has very positive things to say about him.

Salary negotiations must have gone well.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Some very interesting stuff in this. He clearly thought long and hard about the move.

Interesting to see Racing are at home to La Rochelle on Sunday night. Hopefully Lancaster will do the decent thing and get his team to soften em up for us.

Scoreline a bit flattering though. Thomas red carded. They were over the line a few times and should have scored. Coughed up ball just like us last night. Still a powerful unit though and will be tough at home. Botia is a beast. We will need to improve considerably.

Skelton out injured since the world cup, hopefully not back anytime soon.

No Skelton, no Aldritt, no Dulin in the match-day 23. Atonio and Kerr Barlow on the bench. Quite a long way from being their strongest team.

Also, there is the old issue of French teams not really going all guns blazing away from their home venue.
