All the momentum with Zebre. I’d put money on them winning it from here tbh. Playing much better.

If Ngatai can’t even move to 13 in a game like this then we are going to have a big problem there all season when Henrose aren’t around. Maybe JOB will play there a bit but we’re already so light in the back three.

That's a call that the big teams get against the small teams. Very, very lucky.

We’re out of jail by now I think, but that is very fortunate from our perspective.

Ultimately, it’s 5 points, so there’s some positive.

Deegan's control at the base of a scrum that's generally been on top has been substandard

It won’t be even thought of at the end of the season if we win league, still we are very open in the back our back three bar Kearney we’re shocking

You wouldn't begrudge Zebre the two bonus points after that gutsy performance.

There was actually some good attacking play initially but things fell down a bit out wide or when players got isolated. Our defence collapsed when they got the yellow card and the performance mostly followed with it. Quite frankly it looked like the effort was lacking when we defended that first try in particular.

Worrying that we didn’t address things at HT too.

At least the pack were solid enough to get the job done, that’s about the only positive I’d say.

Dunno, who the main commentator on URC.tv was, but Mike Bradley on co-comms/analysis was very good, I thought.

A performance that mixed the good with the dreadful, but it's five points. Jamie Heaslip makes the point that this was in effect our second pre-season match. I don't like to single out young players for criticism but I thought that Max O'Reilly and Rob Russell looked far off the pace. Having said that, some of their more experienced teammates didn't look much better. Jenkins and Ed Byrne looked good.

At least MOR has looked good before, we know he can be a lot better than that.

IIRC Russell looked good before in pre season but then struggled when he played in the league. Maybe it’s a confidence thing and he’s ripping it up in training, but he’s got to improve very very quickly.

It's the kind of match where we've missed Rory O'Loughlin and Adam Byrne.

I might cut Ngatai some slack after the start Fekitoa has made.

You might have hit the nail on the head there Cormac. Have we the same level of depth as we've had in the past? In the backline anyway, I'm not so sure. Could be tough games ahead, starting with our 'Home' bogey team next week.
