A fully fit starting front row of Porter, Sheehan and Furlong. Kelleher is apparently going to be fine in a short turnaround. Healy is back to good form. Sheehan is in the form of his life.
Ryan in unbelievable form and fully fit. Baird has come on leaps and bounds and will have learned a lot from O'Connell in the last few weeks and it will be interesting to see which of him and Jenkins or him and Conan start big games now.
VDF, Doris, Conan all fit and firing. Conan back to something like his best form.
Sexton might have a knock, but I suspect he'll be back in soon. Ross Byrne has a new pile of experience behind him which will stand to him massively. JGP back fit and getting back to his best.
Henshaw playing back to full fitness and it looks like Ringrose (form of his life) will be fine in a couple of weeks.
Lowe, Keenan and Jimmy O'Brien look in great shape.

Various players got time in squad and they'll be itching to play big games for us now - Molony, Lamour etc. Looks like only Osbourne and McCarthy are injured now from the Irish contingent.

So all in all, Leinster seem to be coming out of the six nations better than when we started it. Bodes well for the season ahead.
Okay, so with so many players in good form, which backrow with you start against ulster?

Baird, Doris, JvDF

or

Doris, Conan, JvDF

I think that's what you call a 'first world' rugby problem :D

I think Conan must start. But it's absolutely incredible the standard of the 23 we can put together. Hopefully the lads enjoy themselves and then make it their business to focus on the big provincial prize this season as well.

I mean, what team out there, international or otherwise, would be confident of beating this 23?

Porter, Sheehan, Furlong, Ryan, Jenkins, Conan, VDF, Doris, JGP, Sexton, Henshaw, Ringrose, Larmour, Lowe, Keenan.
Kelleher, Healy, Ala, Baird, Connors, McGrath, Byrne, O'Brien.

Is there a case for starting Conan at 6 and Doris at 8?

There sure is. When Conan came on today vs England he took over from PO'M at 6 leaving Doris at 8.

Porter, Sheehan, Furlong, Ryan, Jenkins, Conan, VDF, Doris, JGP, Sexton, Henshaw, Ringrose, Larmour, Lowe, Keenan.
Kelleher, Healy, Ala, Baird, Connors, McGrath, Byrne, O'Brien.

It’s a serious team. Porter and Ryan have played a lot of minutes. Doris, Sheehan, Kelleher and Ringer nursing knocks. Let’s hope they’re back firing for the knock out stages.

One concern is that England played the game plan that causes us (Leinster and Ireland) problems; attack the scrum, contest the breakdown, rush defence, kick everything and slow the game down. Not pretty to watch but it’s our kryptonite.

Others will adopt similar tactics; the coaches and players need to be ready. Given the talent in this squad, anything less than a H Cup - URC double is a poor return. Sounds harsh but that’s where the bar has been set given 80% of the starting team yesterday is Leinster

Jamie Osborne has extended his contract with Leinster.

Lots of 1 year contracts last season, due to covid, you'd assume.

Mate of mine is at some corporate conference and Johnny's speaking at it.

Talking about the injury he said "Hoping to get back playing before the end of the season".

Doesn't sound great

I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

Yep I expect a lot of players did due to reduced contracts due to fallout from covid.
