It's a serious crop we brought in and all have the look to be world beaters. Can't wait to see them in action.

Re: Leinster Academy 22-23
McErlean looks a real prospect and one I expect will feature in the senior squad quite quickly. It's hard to know whether he's a full back as he hardly ever kicked the ball at 20's.sunshiner1 wrote: ↑May 5th, 2023, 10:33 am It's a serious crop we brought in and all have the look to be world beaters. Off the bench for Terenure on Sunday to score the winner - you heard it here firstthe spoofer wrote: ↑May 5th, 2023, 11:48 amMcErlean looks a real prospect and one I expect will feature in the senior squad quite quickly. Re: Leinster Academy 22-23
Perhaps it is more appropriate on the exiles thread but a shout out to Cathal Marsh, who is on thr bench for Terenue in what could be his last ever match if what I'm hearing is true.mildlyinterested wrote: ↑May 5th, 2023, 2:25 pm CLONTARF: 15 Tadhg BIRD, 14 Aitzol ARENZANA-KING, 13 Hugh COONEY, 12 Matt D’ARCY (c), 11 Michael BROWN; 10 Steve CROSBIE, 9 Angus LLOYD; 1 Ivan SOROKA, 2 Dylan DONNELLAN, 3 Ben GRIFFIN, 4 Fionn GILBERT, 5 Mick KEARNEY, 6 Alex SOROKA, 7 JJ O’DEA, 8 Tony RYAN.

Re: Leinster Academy 22-23
Two really good sides.
I know Deeny is fresh enough out of the academy, but still feels a little rare to see a fully contracted Leinster playing AIL.
I'm probably going to go along to this, and think Clontarf will shade it.

The more of this the better. Grow the quality of the AIL, give academy / non playing senior members valuable game time. What's the downside?

Best of luck to the gick tomorrow
Re: Leinster Academy 22-23
Injuries, different development, distorted competition, disenfranchised amateur players who missed out on selection and of course bidding wars over pro players that puts half the clubs out of business and sucks funding out of junior rugby for the others.erskinechilders wrote: ↑May 6th, 2023, 9:23 amThe more of this the better. I thought that the AIL wasn’t allowed to pay their players though? That’s what they’re saying in Lakelands anywaysronk wrote: ↑May 6th, 2023, 10:27 amInjuries, different development, distorted competition, disenfranchised amateur players who missed out on selection and of course bidding wars over pro players that puts half the clubs out of business and sucks funding out of junior rugby for the others.erskinechilders wrote: ↑May 6th, 2023, 9:23 amThe more of this the better. Yes, but apart from injuries, different development, distorted competition, disenfranchised amateur players and the bidding wars, what's the downside?ronk wrote:Injuries, different development, distorted competition, disenfranchised amateur players who missed out on selection and of course bidding wars over pro players that puts half the clubs out of business and sucks funding out of junior rugby for the others.erskinechilders wrote: ↑May 6th, 2023, 9:23 amThe more of this the better.
