JGP had a few really dodgy ones too.

Along with lineout throwing some questions about specific positional skillsets there.
McGraths passing was terrible. He’s decline has been alarming

The first 5 minutes of the second half is well worth a rewatch.

Some absolutely incredible continuity and attacking play from us, resulting in the Doris try and the second yellow card.

In particular Sheehan, Doris, McCarthy all look so comfortable in open play.

JOB was really good in second half too. Came in as first/second receiver and made loads of classy passes. He and Frawley tend to link well in space.

Hubert Cahill described the crowd's cheer as sarcastic for Frawley's tackle, which it certainly wasn't. He's often so unnecessarily negative
Was chatting to him after the match, he’s good craic. He had to talk about that game for 80 minutes and it was over after 40
Just because he's an ok lad and can badly commentate on rugby for 80 minutes doesn't mean he should though.
Some people with decency would let someone who enjoyed rugby or was interested do it instead.
Im not sure if you have ever read his comments when someone suggested he might be a Leinster fan - he was scathing in his response and ridiculed the idea. Basically the guy is a Lunster, and IMHO. Never worth defending

Yup. On his podcast saying he wouldn't be seen dead in a Leinster jersey while during commentary on Munster games, saying he would have his boots ready to go out and play for them.

It looked like there was a bit more variety in our play this week in that we didn’t just shuffle the ball out wide, the first pod often carried coming from depth at pace. The made it more difficult for the defence. The natural evolution from here is to look to stay on our feet and offload rather than rely on the ruck every time

Ever nice to see someone lose their job but there is something wrong at Glasgow; it’s a team in decline bad needs new ideas. What surprised me is they didn’t have any fight on Saturday. Despite scoring first they were beaten before the match started.

Leinster play a system that relies on decision makers to keep tackle situations one on one as much as possible. Few players would benefit more than Larmour from adding it to his game. Clean breaks are nice but it's not as useful if they can hunt you down. Having and using support takes that away from the defence, they can chase you or close options.

His career has been a bit quieter. This year is the first in 5 years that he didn't appear in at least 3 6N games. Great to have him back.

Was he not injured for the 6N?

Larmour with 5-10 metres space one on one when he can either go outside or take a step off his right is literally unstoppable. His acceleration and feet are too good. We got him into that position 2-3 times in both the Glasgow and Munster games and made huge gains. He was excellent away against Treviso in the game he was injured too. So he's clearly in good form.

The issue in his game is when the defence is tighter and there's limited space he can be nullified. If he could add a bit more playmaking ability into his game a la Keenan, JOB then he'd be nailed on starter.

I still think there's a hint of greed and him playing the same way he did in underage rugby though. Should be interesting to see how he goes against Bulls where he might have less space and more defending to do.

Yep, hip injury ruled him out of the last couple of games but he didn't make the opening games. He's had a tough time injury wise. Like James Lowe he's a phenomenal attacking player - averaging 70meters a game this season (a good bit higher than Lowe) but both players have had their defensive issues. In my view both have worked on these and improvements have followed but what they do in attack is freakishly good.

Not quite sure why you think Ross played poorly. Didn’t look that way at the game.
I think Ross shoveled the ball on without drawing the defence. Added very little value in what was a procession.Sure he facilitated others, but that is the bare minimum.

I assume he was left on for so long to get minutes into his legs in case J10 breaks down against Bulls, or cannot play.

For me he will always be the #2 and we need to cultivate a #1. Frawley and Harry are better options and could wither on the vine if not progressed.

I get that this is the URC Quickening but watching Ross fade again in the white heat of the Velodrome left me feelign that we need to push on past him.

Frawley and Harry have done little to show they're a better 10 than Ross as it stands. Both have a far better athletic profile albeit.

Ross was much better in second half on Sat compared to first. Some of his miss passes and loop plays were very good.

He's excellent at facilitating our style of play when not under big defensive pressure.

The main problem is his lack of an individual attacking game isn't good enough when he's not given that space.

Pretty typical given the amount of rotation we do.Only 1 games this season and there's very few players who actually played more 12.
