Larmour can draw a man and pass.

Has anyone mentioned how good Joe McCarthy was? He’s the real deal.

Might sound strange considering the final score but I thought the yellow card was a huge moment. We had been coming into it a bit more but Glasgow just totally collapsed. Maybe that would have happened anyway but I don’t think so, not to the extent that it did. What a stupid thing to do and could easily have been red.
There was nothing complicated about how well we played then, just some good carrying up front and backs hitting the line well or getting to the edges, but we did it really sharply.
Larmour obviously the standout, it’s just great to see him playing like this again and long may it continue. I hope he gets tested in the air next week and in any other games in the near future so that he can build on his current form and really reach his full potential.
Ringrose really puts his body on the line every week. I’m sure most of us want to see him making breaks but jeez it doesn’t matter what the situation is he just flies into contact and really sets the tone in terms of physicality.

Going out and absolutely hammering a team in a knock-out game a week after losing a final at the death is a bloody good sign.
The lads have got their heads screwed on right with no sign of feeling sorry for themselves ... which they would be entitled to do. Last weekend was a kick in the balls.
They deserve a lot of credit for keeping the foot down and playing the full 80 mins against Glasgow. It's not easy to do when the match is in the bag by halftime. Some lovely passing, running and support lines for those second half tries from the backs – particularly the tries for Ringrose, JGP and Luke McGrath, but also a lot of solid workrate and hard hitting up front.
Really looking forward to taking on the Bulls next week. It will be a challenge that the lads will relish and an easy game to get up for.

Doris was very good at 8 today. It will be interesting to see if he stays there next Friday.

That's how teams play us in URC. Come out fast and see how long they can hold on. If it works then game on. The yellow finished them because they believed it was game over.LeRouxIsPHat wrote: ↑June 4th, 2022, 8:58 pm Might sound strange considering the final score but I thought the yellow card was a huge moment. We've been bloody minded about running up scores since the Montpellier trip and obviously there was a point to prove after last week.
It's impressive that we can keep playing but at this stage of the season there's also a case for saving your energy with an important game next week.
At least we kicked the ball out quickly when the halves were up.

Or maybe give him the week off. Start Conan and Ruddock, then rotate again for the final.elephantman wrote: ↑June 4th, 2022, 10:13 pm Doris was very good at 8 today. It will be interesting to see if he stays there next Friday.

That's our highest ever points total in a league game, eclipsing the 70 points we stuck on Zebre in the 2016/17 season,
Look out Itchy, he's Irish

Just because he's an ok lad and can badly commentate on rugby for 80 minutes doesn't mean he should though.paddyor wrote: ↑June 4th, 2022, 5:40 pmWas chatting to him after the match, he’s good craic. Some people with decency would let someone who enjoyed rugby or was interested do it instead.

What was the point of leaving Ross out there, playing poorly, until the 65th minute? Harry should be given more time than that, especially as both Ross and Joey are playing like drains at the moment with the Irish tour looming.

Not quite sure why you think Ross played poorly. Didn’t look that way at the game.backrower8 wrote: ↑June 5th, 2022, 8:13 am What was the point of leaving Ross out there, playing poorly, until the 65th minute?
