Have the SA teams dominated everyone at scrum? I've only watched highlights so its possible its a bit misleading?
Didn't a a graphic flash up during the sharks game showing that both sides had won 100% of their scrums? Even if we lost a few after that our second choice side could hold it for that long is excellent.

It was more a general observation rather than specifically that last game. But my memory is they generated a number of penalties of their scrum, they conceded some (which looked to my untrained eye lucky for us) and any ball we did win was in -out channel 1 ball.

I think as someone else has pointed out, it will force all the no SA teams to up their scrummaging game. If they can...
Probably good for team Ireland in the medium term.

I'd imagine that the front row are having a quiet word with our back line about knock on's this week. The fewer scrums the better and that hurts to say as a former TH.

Our scrum included a rookie hooker, Clarkson, rookie second row and was down to using a back on the flank for part of the game too.

Against an all Springbok front row and a 140kg TH second row.

So I reckon we can cut a bit of slack!

Mike Ala’alatoa left with Porter according to Peter O'Reilly in the times

Now, that will make it very tough on Vahk and Clarkson, to say nothing about Tracy & McKee / Barron.

Good move I think.

Tomorrow is as close to a dead rubber as you'll get.

Personally I'd try and protect or limit the time of Rhys & Frawley too.

Even denying the stormers 4 tries would do the job

Yeah. I like that better. 55 28 to the stormers with 4 tries for us. :)

I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

I'm thinking of setting up a business where you can rent a clean liver for rugby trips, weddings or Christmas. You get charged according to the damage done.
