We haven't scored a drop goal in any competition since April 2017 when Ross Byrne knocked one over to clinch an away win in the league against the Ospreys.
Our last drop goal in Europe was scored by Rob Kearney in a 29-22 victory away to Castres in January 2014.

A last ditch attempt by Racing is all I remember. I think all our pts were pens, and if I recall it was Isa who drew us level?, and then scored what turned out to be the winner. J10 did score a beaut of a DG from halfway in 2009 final; and Drico another from 20m?

There was the last gasp attempt at one by the Racing scrum half Teddy Ibaren, which luckily went wide, but gave us the iconic photo of Jack Conan, James Ryan and Scott Fardy all jumping with their hands in the air to try and block the thing.

Nope. Five penalties, three from Johnny, the last two from Isa.
Sexton came close with one from near the halfway line in the 2019 semi-final against Toulouse in the Aviva.

Bought mine directly from Tigers site before the general sale would say quite a few eg several hundred of us did that because we weren’t sure of the demand and wanted to pick our seat.

Hopefully a decent load of Leinster fans, currently resident in "mainland" UK, will show up. I seem to remember the Munster fans outnumbering the Saracens supporters in a Heino match in 2014 - which led to our southern brethren scoring a historic victory away. It was the game, where Paul O'Connell famously got the better of Steve Borthwick at the line-out. I'd be over the moon, if Leinster - team and fans - could pull something similar off in Welford Road.

Looks like we'll be rolling up with a full deck and the weather looks favourable; I'm feeling mildly confident.

Need to see the team sheet, but this squad is unbeaten at home and see no reason for that not to continue, taking nothing for granted here, fully aware of what is coming.
