Guaranteed there'll be the usual moaning about Busby irrespective of what happens on Sat then.
As you are probbaly aware, Leinster don't lose many matches. To have refereed Leinster 4 times and presided over 3 losses leaves you open to more scrutiny.
A bit analogous to Tadhg not giving away many scrum penalties in a season and then being hit for 3 or 4 in one match. Turns out the referee was fallible. So might Busby.
I wonder how fit JOB is? We seem to be short on outside backs and his injury didn’t look great last week.
Very strong side overall anyway, great to have Frawley back but we’ll need him to hit the ground running. Pack is strong and I’ll be disappointed if we don’t dominate the scrum, Aungier should be there for the taking and their sub front row is fairly weak.
Assuming the pack steps up then a lot will hinge on Luke and it’s a massive game for him. TOH isn’t the player he was and I’m sure we’ll target McNulty as well so if Luke and Ross kick well then that’ll go a long way to winning. I’d imagine it’ll be a really niggly game so if Luke has one of his bad days then it’ll have a massive effect with the crowd.
I’m feeling pretty confident after seeing the teams though, looking forward to it.

Leinster 11 points favourites, away from home and Busby reffing. That’s mad!
Yep, it is. That's a decent looking Connacht team with a strong backline playing at home - couple of lads on their bench might start for us if they were Leinster players.
Strong starting team from us. Our pack has a nice balance and scrum/lineout should be solid. We've a stronger starting backline I think. Our bench is a bit weaker than you'd expect. Dillane, Boyle, Blade, Arnold could swing the game if we're not ahead.
Connacht have an interesting mix of youth and lots and lots of experience.
Leinster have a nice pack that could assert themselves, depending on how it goes. Connacht fans get an early look at the players they're recruiting. Hopefully they'll be short term disappointments but exciting for the long term.
A few players back from injury in the backline, possibly with questionable fitness. That's not always a good sign for us for a tough away fixture.

I’m not sure it is. A lot of that Connacht team did just get annihilated 56-8 by Edinburgh. Tomorrow will be a different beast but I’m not sure what we have to be worried about, barring injuries or cards that starting team should be enough to get to that kind of winning margin.
A lot of players on both sides will have their eyes on those two non tests in NZ, interesting to see who steps up.

Adam Byrne must be injured as well is he? And MOR?
There's a very interesting picture on instagram today from UN1T Dublin (and reposted by several players) of a group of Leinster players in for a 'sweaty session'. It looks like all our injured players (except James Ryan and Jordan Larmour) are all there but also Dave Kearney (on crutches); Vakh; Jack Dunne; Adam Byrne and Dev Toner - I wonder if there are a few more injuries than were listed on Monday

A strong backline? Really?
9/10 is solid although similar level to ours, beyond that there's not a huge amount there. Back three is patched together. TOH is a big weakness.
Interested to see if Big Mike backed by Big Joe can get a nudge on in the scrum. He's got a good 15-20kg on Buckley. Dooley should fancy a crack at Aungier too.
Ireland scored the most tries/points and conceded the fewest yet were still second to the best team in the tournament (and possibly the world) in France. At times the new attacking style worked like a charm but it stuttered badly for long phases too when Ireland's handling skills couldn't match their ambition.
Settled looking Leinster side. I think we can boss them in the front five. Both back rows have a nice balance and I really want to see Penny and Deegan step up and control the rucks.
Half backs look evenly matched, Connacht pair maybe a bit more dynamic. Luke really needs to rediscover his best form, starting on Saturday.
I think we have good pace and the ability to break the line in our 3/4s and am delighted to see Frawley back as he can really help to launch the outside backs.
This is a massive match to make a statement before the H Cup last 16 and get some valuable URC points.
