Probably Leinster's most under rated player. If he was a kid coming through over the last couple of years he'd have been in the Ireland squad. Complete rugby player, pace and step, defence and good in the air.blockhead wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2022, 10:43 am Oul Dave is now only 4 tries short of Mr Wavin Pipe himself.

One of the best. That tackle in Paris in 2000 just as crucial as Drico's hat-trick. Wonderful effort.Flash Gordon wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2022, 9:32 amProbably Leinster's most under rated player. Re: Benetton v Leinster Sat 5 Mar KO 12.55pm Live on RTE2
Is Nick injured or just brutally dropped after last week? Seems harsh to be out of the squad entirely.
I liked Osborne at fullback for the 20’s, thought his positioning was good, he was great in the air, and has a huge boot, but I think he looks a bit more comfortable at 13 for us right now, gets more touches and can focus more on just carrying. Sometimes I forget how young he is because he seems so comfortable out there, only turned 20 in November.
Nice balance in the pack, curious to see how that front row goes, glad Dooley is rewarded with a start and gets his 100th game even if he’s leaving.

Nick was really poor last week unfortunately. It speaks to our depth that stand out players like Leavy and Dave Kearney don't just walk into the team.LeRouxIsPHat wrote: ↑March 4th, 2022, 12:34 pm Is Nick injured or just brutally dropped after last week? Seems harsh to be out of the squad entirely.

He was pulled really early last week so it could be a tweak but my reading is the coaches did not like what they were seeing.LeRouxIsPHat wrote: ↑March 4th, 2022, 12:34 pm Is Nick injured or just brutally dropped after last week? Seems harsh to be out of the squad entirely.

Re: Benetton v Leinster Sat 5 Mar KO 12.55pm Live on RTE2
Benetton have an inexperienced team. That will make it hard for them. We've surrounded Clarkson and McCarthy with experience in the pack and impact to bring on.
Our backline is young and inexperienced bit it's well balanced with players who are in form. They could be setup for a big score if it clicks for them.
Congrats to Dooley, starting for his hundreth cap.

NickcCarthy could be dropped but it could as easily just be a case of giving Foley a run. He's due a shot and it seems like as good a week as any.

Not a lot of caps in that team. Halafihi and Zani account for 103 of the 214 caps in the starting team. The rest have an average of just over 8 caps each.D4surfer wrote: ↑March 4th, 2022, 12:10 pm Benetton Rugby:

Re: Benetton v Leinster Sat 5 Mar KO 12.55pm Live on RTE2
Probably very far fetched but is Dooley being given a chance at the behest of Farrell to prove if he's worth a shot for the Irish squad? Or conversely is it more keeping Ed Byrne uninjured?
