Probably very far fetched but is Dooley being given a chance at the behest of Farrell to prove if he's worth a shot for the Irish squad? Or conversely is it more keeping Ed Byrne uninjured?
Or dooley is being rewarded for a better performance last weekend?
Leinster will regret picking Byrne over Dooley, hopefully Milne hits the ground running from his injury.
Leinster made it three home wins on the trot last week and now they're on the road for the next five fixtures in Treviso, Belfast, Galway and Limerick and then Galway again.
Leinster made harder work of the Lions last week than had been expected. In fairness to the Lions they were better than their results had indicated, they defended well, their scrum dominated and their scrum-half Morne van den Berg was the star player on the night. Leinster still probably should have gotten the four try bonus point though but the win was enough to put them four points clear of Ulster at the top of the table.
Foley definitely should be given a good stretch of this game at this point. Would have been nice to see Harry shift into 10 for the last 30 or so but obviously not to be.
Will say it again, Joe McCarthy is so impressive. Big carry there and he was able to stand up and offload, then turned into scrum half and got the ball away from the ruck.

Ah I dunno, he has done well to be there at all, there’s no point going for the chop there as the try will be scored, he has to go high, and there’s a big mismatch in that respect.
Is Jackman ror? He’s the biggest f%~king gossip in Irish rugby.
Really enjoying this. Benetton obviously poor but I like how we’re generally keeping things simple and being very effective. McCarthy can do everything, loved his offload for JOB’s break early on. Dooley and Clarkson great around the park. Harry good even thought he was injured, Osborne carried and kicked well, TOB lively in attack and defence. Larmour looks really sharp, not sure how anyone could criticise his tackle attempt a few minutes ago, although maybe he was out of position. Having a great game though.
