He's really not at all.

Bar the forward pass for try he has been fine.

We've made too many errors and given away stupid pens.

Nah he’s extremely one sided. Ulster had the ball in the ruck for 10 seconds at the end and didn’t use it, should’ve been Leinster’s ball.

Terrible game of rugby overall. I think a losing bonus point for us is a win, facing very close to the strongest possible Ulster team. It’s a bit of a reality check for Ulster, they’re nowhere near our level imo.

Main positive for us is another strong showing for Joe McCarthy, emerging at the perfect time for us really. Hope to see a lot more of him over the next few games.

Jimmy O’Brien looks to be injured, hope he’s not out for too long.

4-1 is a grand result considering only 1 player today starts on the full strength team!

Sorry I mean to say "BOOO Frank! You're a really bad man!".

Since he was announced as ref this week people have been waiting to give out. Pure confirmation bias.

The key issue out there tonight was our discipline. Second biggest was our awful kicking.

Murphy actually shouted "Use it" but still have them an age to use it

Appalling game of rugby won by the marginally less sh!t side. I feel sorry for the fans who travelled and got soaked for that display. At least we will forget it quickly

Didn't watch the game just got the result.

Said I Would have been happy with a LBP and very happy if Ulster didn't get a TBP so I'm not gonna change horses now.

Sounds like we could have won though, so I'll take at look at it tomorrow.

We very nearly won that game - not downhearted at all - I agree with previous poster - Leinster are far better - with our first choice team tonight ( and a proper referee of course- im not sure hes crooked - hes just a bad referee) we would have stuffed them

Sorry but he was as bad as predicted, not confirmation bias, just bad.
Leinster still should have won really though, butchered 2 or 3 try chances, that's on Leinster.
Dont Panic!

Ok, go on then why? What penalties or errors did you have an issue with?

We have. But it's easy to give away stupid pens when you get called for everything.

Stuff like closing the gap in the lineout on a clean steal. When they got away with closing the gap. Resetting scrums when they pushed early but pinging us. Calling offside under 10m rule when we'd retreated (not fast but a fair retreat).

That was a clear gap closing from McCarthy.

None of the inside 10 pens were an issue. That was down to poor kicking.

Blame the ref all you want if it makes you feel better, (most had prepared to do that on Wednesday anyway) but the issues were all in blue tonight.

A dreadful game – a real stinker. Weather conditions were absolutely abysmal and it made it a hell of a tough game to play and to watch.

We were quite blunt, but that's generally going to happen in games where the weather is cr@p. Handling errors and slips are going to happen, you just can't dwell on them.

It's not the worst result. We had a sh*tload of players beating England in Twickenham and we're still top of the table.

I mentioned that above, I thought it was forward and should've been checked. Could argue Balacoune's arm went backward but TMO should've gotten involved.

Clearly since he's a 'crook' and so bad there must've been loads of examples of poor decisions right?

Right?

Frank Murphy didn't make our 9 kick some absolute howlers.

He didn't make our lineout capitulate on 3/4 occasions inside their half.

He didn't cause stupid not rolling pens or throw unnecessary offloads or make loads of knock ons.

The penalty count was equal, 8 apiece.

But yes he's a crook and a bad bad man. Boooo!
