Leinster V Montpellier 16th Jan 2021

Post by sickaroll »

Officially still on, and I read on here that the 12,500 STH will find out which ~5,000 of us will be crammed together like sardines into a few areas, rather than distributed around the ground... but it doesn't really feel like a fixture is happening.
Will Montpol travel? Have we resolved our rampant 'Rona issues? With the long Christmas break, the ~30 or so players and staff who reported had it should be over it now. Chickenpox-parties were a thing at school in the 80's get 'em all through it at the same time, I wonder if a face-licking party in the camp might have given us a clear run through the 6 Nations?

If it does go ahead, what sort of a side do we need to put out to get the required 5 points? We need to pick up max points at this stage from both remaining games and it could still be squeaky-bum on the last weekend to see where we might have to go.

Bath should have lost away to La Rochelle by the last game and still be on null points with nothing but pride to play for.

I'm not even sure if we have a team anymore it's been so long since we've heard from them.

Can someone nip over and make sure they're alright?

I am presuming that all season ticket holders will be in the draw.
Surely it would be fairer if those who were successful in the ballot for the game at end of last season were excluded. As some could be lucky twice while others might be unlucky twice.

But I suppose we are only season ticket holders !

Has anyone been notified of success in this particular lottery?

Leinster V Montpellier

In order to make the draw clear and transparent Father Ted Crilly will be flown up from Craggy Island to conduct it

Excellent, if I were even less motivated by work I could through through them and build a 'plausibly fit' squad list.

I have neither the happy email nor an account credit, neither have my 2 terrace-dwelling mates.

I doubt anything's been done yet!

Maybe they're waiting to see if there'll be an improvement in numbers allowed?

Thanks, I remember the games against the South Africans being announced now that you say it. I had it in my mind we’d be playing an inter pro this weekend for some reason

Cheers again and happy new year.

How ridiculous that they didn’t play Connacht v Leinster this weekend and free up a later date for the postponed games

May not happen anyway. From Midi Libre (via Google Translate):

"Strongly affected by the Covid-19, the MHR does not yet know whether it will be able to present a competitive team in Toulouse this Sunday, January 9 (9:05 p.m.), a match counting for the 15th day of Top 14 https: //l.midilibre. fr / MlZ"
