89-7.

That's the sort of thumping that Montpellier deserved, and I was delighted that we handed it out to them. 40-7 in the first half, 49-0 in the second half.

Show up as a coaching staff with that attitude, that selection and that brittleness and you will get a beating that your supporters will hound you with for the rest of the year. Enjoy that sh*t sandwich lads, you made it for yourselves.

Never wanted us to beat a team by so much before. Great job by the lads. Jimmy O was amazing on the wing could he be doing a Keenan on it and grabbing the jersey. Fairness larmour had one of his best games in a while too

Even with that win, Montpellier have a points difference of minus 90

Fair play to Jack Conan. It was his tackle put Guirado's foot into touch and prevented Montpellier scoring that potential second try.

A good performance that delivered everything that was required. The opposition was dreadful, but thats not Leinster's problem

Win - check
Bonus Point - check
Points chase - check
Try count - check
No serious injuries - check

We looked rusty at times, there were some hard hands out there on occasion, but thats only to be expected with the layoff and disjointed training over the last 5 weeks. And of course, now that rust has been scraped away.

Man of the match went justifiably to JvDF - Jimmy O'Brien deserves a mention though, as do the rest of the back row

We’d have had a more strenuous hit out if James Tracy had just given the squad a tour of his house.

Training has clearly been very good though. Great to see Ringrose so involved, the more touches he gets the better he is. Larmour very sharp too, so typical that he’d get a knock when playing well. Haven’t been sure about JOB on the wing but he was excellent.

Second rows were very good I thought. I know Ross isn’t the most powerful but he gets through some amount of work and I hope he takes Dillane’s Ireland place in the short term.

I’ve wanted Porter to switch to LH since the World Cup but even then I didn’t factor in how slimming down a bit for LH would make him even better. His mobility is just crazy for a guy with his size and power.

Jack Conan is some player, Ala'alatoa's best match for us. Jimmie O'Brien was particularly excellent in the first half. Ringrose opened them up repeatedly.

I thought Keyser was hilarious too: on Larmour "he's complicated to put down". "just shoot the animal, okay?"
Kayser also has this great habit of using the word 'beautiful' as it's used in French (which is to describe basically anything good). He'll describe fairly mundane passes, kicks, tries etc. as 'beautiful' about 7-8 times per game

Seen an earlier post suggesting that there were no serious injuries.

Anyone care to share what happened with Furlong and Ryan?
Should we be concerned about their 6 nations availability?

Montpellier got 2 beatings for the price of 1.

Thank you Leinster. I needed that.

Mike Alaalatoa is a cracking player.

Would have no fear of him starting big games for us.

Properly powerful in carry, tackle and ruck, good scrummager and clearly well trained by Crusaders in playing the type of game we expect props to play.

Furlong walked off the pitch with what looked like it might be a calf problem. Maybe a foot problem. Can't be too serious, but obviously a risk given how close the 6N is. Ryan never played, so we only have the statement to go by, which was that it was a "minor muscle issue".

Thanks for that. Hopefully nothing too serious.
Never good to see players like those picking up injuries this close to the 6 nations.

Yeah, especially Furlong. There's a bit of a gulf between him and Bealham/O'Toole/whoever

Filipe said that Ryan’s issue was a tightening in the hamstring and they didn’t want to risk it

Nothing like a bit of homophobia on a Sunday afternoon.

Post reported.
How do you get homophobic from that. Lawn fairies refers to their ability to fall over. You are quite the snowflake.
And you are Homophobic.
I actually find your judgement offensive as I am not nor ever have been homophobic.
I feel you are actively seeking to be offended.
But write your report or whatever I just suggest you grow a thicker skin.

Hopefully that’s all it is. With Henderson and Ryan having a lack of rugby in the legs of late, Ireland could be dipping into their depth chart for the Wales game.
