I'd forgotten that. Thanks pointing it out.CiaranIrl wrote: ↑December 11th, 2021, 7:37 pmCardiff don't have the depth to field a second string team that would be competitive in the AIL, and this was a third string team. 32 players were unavailable after a South African debacle worse than Munster's lot.riocard911 wrote: ↑December 11th, 2021, 5:08 pm Not so fun fact: Toulouse beat Cardiff in Cardiff today by a bigger points difference than Leinster beat Bath in Dublin: 7-39 = 32, while 45-20 = 25.

A pretty shocking performance outside the first 20-30 mins. Far too many stupid mistakes made and need to get the proverbial finger out before it costs us

I was watching that game with you.the spoofer wrote: ↑December 11th, 2021, 6:15 pm I obviously watched a different game cause I thought Ross Byrne was really good today.

Felt like the game was over by the second try in the 12th minute, BP secured with the fourth try in the 24th minute. Bench brought on nice and early, no injuries as far as I know. Not much of a game, no atmosphere to build off from the crowd (how dare I). Bigger fish to fry.

I thought he was pretty good to, he had an easy enough ride to be fair but the negative comments sound a bit premeditated.fourthirtythree wrote: ↑December 12th, 2021, 10:07 amI was watching that game with you.the spoofer wrote: ↑December 11th, 2021, 6:15 pm I obviously watched a different game cause I thought Ross Byrne was really good today.

Yep - like watching an Irish QF supporting the other team! Game over by the end of the first quarter.OTT wrote: ↑December 12th, 2021, 10:16 am Felt like the game was over by the second try in the 12th minute, BP secured with the fourth try in the 24th minute. The second half in general was underwhelming and I definitely came out of Lansdowne Road thinking that it was an overall poor performance. But for the first 30 minutes we were on a point a minute trip and looked pretty good.

To be fair to Matt O'Connor he's gone a fair while at this stage.

Typical french team performance??LeinsterLeader wrote: ↑December 11th, 2021, 9:56 pmYeah it went south fairly quickly for them alright! Wasn't their first team though, am I right in saying that?
Poor on the road, meaning we may look out next weekend.

Keenan's try was an absolute beaut. He takes great lines. Himself and Lowe combine well too.

Have to agree I thought he was pretty good too. It was all to easy but he was able to pull Bath apart a few times and kicked ok.OTT wrote: ↑December 12th, 2021, 10:21 amI thought he was pretty good to, he had an easy enough ride to be fair but the negative comments sound a bit premeditated.fourthirtythree wrote: ↑December 12th, 2021, 10:07 amI was watching that game with you.the spoofer wrote: ↑December 11th, 2021, 6:15 pm I obviously watched a different game cause I thought Ross Byrne was really good today.

Also Toulouse had Dupont playing for them and I'm pretty sure that is illegal.riocard911 wrote: ↑December 12th, 2021, 12:17 amI'd forgotten that. If it's not we should do something about it. Disgraceful behaviour

It looked to me (from a long way off) that Ciaran Frawley had a very good 20 minutes at out half and introduced a running threat from that position that Ross doesn't have. I look forward to the analysis of his performance on the various podcasts this week.
The odds are good but the goods are odd.
Re: Leinster v Bath Sat 11th December 3.15 Aviva
I really like Frawley and I think he could be a very good 10, absolutely no issues if he gets time there if the coaches want it but are we holding different people to different standards? We lost the last 20 mins 7-0, what was Frawley doing that was so good in those 20mins? I’m not blaming him either for those 20 mins the match was well and truly over and minds were very much elsewhere from those on the pitch to those in the stands.

I'm always confounded by people feeling embarrassed for other people for their thoughts I may not agree with the sentiments but embarrassed by.

Yes, I think so. Frawley did 2 very good dummies and showed what a running threat he is. But Byrne had a good game too and was part of some really effective attacking play, it looked easy though.OTT wrote: ↑December 12th, 2021, 12:28 pm I really like Frawley and I think he could be a very good 10, absolutely no issues if he gets time there if the coaches want it but are we holding different people to different standards? Both are good players.
