Leinster vs Zebre, 9/10, 1pm @TheRDS, RTE.

Post by mildlyinterested »

Positive news to start as Conor O’Brien, Nick McCarthy and Dan Leavy all came through the game against the Dragons with no issues after their return from injury and are expected to train as normal this week.

The trio of Jordan Larmour (groin), Tommy O’Brien (hamstring) and Harry Byrne (foot) have all returned to full training and will be available for selection this week.

Second row Jack Dunne will look to increase his training load this week as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.

Rory O’Loughlin sustained an injury to his shoulder against Dragons and that will require further investigation and he is not available for selection this week as a result.

There are no further updates on the following:

Caelan Doris (calf), Dave Kearney (ankle), Michael Milne (calf), Will Connors (knee) and Thomas Clarkson (hamstring).

I'd like to see Ryan Baird catch a ball.

Tbf he has great hands so it was very unusual for him but I'm still not over it, one of the all time worst cameos that I can remember.

Was it as bad as this would be?

Because that's what I imagine Baird's cameo was as bad as.

Anyone have an idea if the terrace will be open? Or will us terrace dwellers be switched to the north / south for this?
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

I checked with LR... Terrace is open but if any terrace dwellers feel uncomfortable they can move to North or South for next two games... No need to change tickets... You can just go

I'd probably start Deegan if the medical team are happy with his progress.

It's easy to overuse Ruddock and Deegan has a chance to get gametime/improve match fitness. Soon enough there'll be 2 international 8s ahead of him and looking to play.

+1 and Porter will likely bench to get a few more match minutes. COB too needs more exposure.

It's great that we are getting some wingers back in the mix. Locko and Rob Russell is not a wide threat to cause huge dismay for the opposing analysts. Every team needs attacking threats who can win one-on-ones and I thought we lacked same on the wings against the Dragons.

I also like the Harry & Frawley midfield. They played really well together in the first half of last season.

Asked and the OLSC said the plan at the moment is to be open after the game. Apparently it’s up to them to clean the place after being locked up for 19 months which they’ll be doing before the game so can’t guarantee it will be ready pre match but should be fine post match.
