Wing
Dave Kearney(32/Clongowes/Lansdowne) - signed 2yr contract in 2021
James Lowe(29) - signed 3yr contract in 2020
Rory O'Loughlin(27/St. Micheals/UCD) - signed contract in 2020
Adam Byrne(27/Naas RFC/UCD) - signed contract in 2020
Jordan Larmour(24/St. Andrews/St. Marys) - signed contract in 2020
Tommy O'Brien(23/Blackrock/UCD) - signed contract in 2020

Dave Kearney is coming off a very strong season for Leinster, it's unfortunate news to hear that he will absent for the start of the season. James Lowe on the other hand is coming off a season to forget in Blue and Green. He will be hoping to rediscover his form for Leinster this year. Adam Byrne didn't play last season due to injury, he will be hoping to stay healthy this season and remind people of his talent. Rory O'Loughlin is an option at both wing and centre, it will be interesting to see if he focuses on one position or another. Jordan Larmour and Tommy O'Brien both start the season injured, Larmour had an up and down season last year after losing out at fullback, he faces a big season to regain confidence and form on the wing. O'Brien is talented but can't seem to stay healthy. Lots of game time here up for grabs, the question is who will step up?

Fullback
Hugo Keenan(25/Blackrock/UCD) - signed contract in 2021
Jimmy O'Brien(24/Newbridge/UCD) - signed contract in 2021

Hugo Keenan is coming off the best season of his career, cementing his place at 15 for ireland and leinster. He will be hoping to continue this fine vein of form this season. Jimmy O'Brien also had the strongest season of his career, becoming a fixture at 15 when healthy. The fullback is capable of playing centre and wing and offers a strong distribution game on the ball when in possession and a good left boot.

Academy
Max O'Reilly(21/St. Gerards/DUFC) - Academy Yr 2
Niall Comerford(21/Blackrock/UCD) - Academy Yr 2
Andrew Smith(21/St. Michaels/Clontarf) - Academy Yr 2
Jamie Osborne(19/Naas RFC/Naas) - Academy Yr 2
Rob Russell(22/St. Michaels/DUFC) - Academy Yr 1
Chris Cosgrave(20/St. Michaels/UCD) - Academy Yr 1

There are a lot of options at both wing and fullback in the academy, who will step up this season? Rob Russell is the oldest option the fullback/wing, has been a standout for Trinity for years and earned an academy place much later than usual, he will be hoping to progress quickly this season after almost making his debut off the bench last season. Jamie Osborne and Max O'Reilly look to be options at fullback, both made appearances for the senior side last year with Osborne featuring at centre and O'Reilly largely at fullback, it will be interesting to see where they stand as the season goes on. Andrew Smith made his debut last year, the winger who can play fullback will be hoping for more opportunities in the senior side. Niall Comerford is another winger, he had limited game time last season for the A's, what to expect from him this season? Hard to say. Chris Cosgrave enters the academy with a stellar schools career, it will be interesting to see what position he focuses on this year, fullback or wing.
