Also, like HQs use of the phrase "Impact Players" for subs. We should nick that (only fair since they tried to nick the HEC of us) :D
i think it's awful.

Better or worse than "Finishers"?

Surprised Max O'Reilly isn't involved, I'd have tipped him to be important for us at the start of the season.

Not going to expect much from COB but it's great to see him back and I really like the look of that centre pairing in theory. Both big men who are hard to stop but plenty of footballing ability too.

Hard to know what kind of game it'll be at this stage of the year but Quins play very loose so fingers crossed it'll be a good one. That type of game could suit Deegan if his fitness is up to it, his athleticism and ball handling should be to the fore, great to have him back as well.

Definitely one of rugby pet-hates, along with; the term "enforcer", players not pulling their socks up and over-exuberant turnover celebrations.

Very interesting Quote from Birch:

"Probably won’t happen tonight but hearing Cian Healy has been trying a bit at Tight head and unsurprisingly more than holding his own. If Porter switches across to loose head that flexibility could extend Cian’s career even further."

Not sure if its a good Idea but defo interesting

A late career switch to Tighthead? No one would have predicted that.

If true fair play to him for giving it a go - old dog new tricks etc.

If it's a success Robin McBryde is a damn genius haha
He's gotten awfully fond of that brick

Where was that? 42 Rugbyrugbyweekly?

If Cian Healy can shift across to TH at this stage of his career that's incredible. It's like Sexton playing 9.

So - do I have this right - we are moving our tight head to loose head and moving our loose head to tight head.

Certainly "out of the box" thinking!!!

I guess at this stage you can't really do much to hurt his game on the LH side. I wouldn't see him reinventing himself as a TH but even if he ends up being a really valuable 24th man for a season or two in the league then that's great for everyone I'd say. I could be wrong but think that Gethin Jenkins ended up doing something similar at the end of his career.

We have a lot of opensides but maybe it's time to give BOD a go there, then SOB at hooker and Madigan to scrumhalf.

It's like the way the Beatles innovated in the studio. "Can you get that guitar to sound like a piano?"...... "OK can you make those piano's sound like a guitar?"

They changed the recording world forever with the stuff they discovered by accident.

I'm trying to think of a front row equivalent...... Hmmmmmm. Getting nothing. :(
