Former international Ronnie Kavanagh, of Blackrock College, UCD, Wanderers and Leinster was capped 35 times for Ireland. A back row forward, Ronnie was inducted into the Rugby Writers of Ireland Hall of Fame in 2009 and named in UCD's team of the century in 2011.

As recently as 2011 Leinster Rugby posted a tribute to Ronnie on their website, he was a true gentleman, not only an Ireland/Leinster legend but also a stalwart of the Peter McVerry Trust - particularly their Wexford Cycle Fundraiser, which he completed many times, right into his 80th year https://www.leinsterrugby.ie/leinster-l ... ford-cycle

Condolences to Ronnie's family and many friends can be posted on the RIP.ie link identified above. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h'anam dílis.
