I hate it when my relations up in Belfast talk about going "up" to Dublin. Cracked! I go "up" to see them in Norn Iron, while they come "down" to Dublin. The poor unfortunates just don't get it.....

All good points but you really don't go down to Galway.

And I don't think he was speaking from local practice. Just a hunch I have.

Another good point which I also concede. They were coming from Wicklow I think so up is down again. Perhaps people from below the equator go up to South? Which doesn't explain west. I'm going with making it up.

Bang on!
Although people in Limerick may not say that though, or indeed Sligo.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

I think even if you're in Galway, you still go "Over" to Galway. It's part of the Geneva Convention or something.

I know knowledge!

Ospreys 13-27 Sharks
Must say, I'm relieved with that scoreline, a Super Rugby Team wins a game in the oul Pro14.
Didn't see the game but I assume Ospreys were made Wilt under the bombardment of dropgoals.

Probably.
I was watching the Ulster game and fell asleep. I've found most of the games in the URC pretty boring so far.

Easy win for sharks in the end. They outclassed a poor ospreys side. They seemed to avoid breakdowns which helped. Noel McNamara was interviewed during the game also and said they planned to go for drop goals from goal line drop outs. If that makes sense.

Wow, serious advantage for the four teams who get to play their away games against the South African teams in Italy instead of having to travel to SA.

Utter nonsense, travel to SA allowed now. Huge advantage for those 4 teams and also a big negative for the SA teams. Don't understand why with travel restrictions gone. Why ? Mystery ?

Cardiff 19-29 Bulls
So thats 2 wins a draw and a narrow defeat up in Scotscun this weekend for the Saffas. That puts a different complection on things altogether.
South African sides are going to dominate the URC. We're all doomed. Fuppin should have never let them in. They're too big.
But seriously, check out the speed of Tambwe chasing his own kick through for the Bulls 2nd try. Or Smith kicking the ball between the posts from anywhere.
The Sharks players were in the crowd cheering on the Bulls, looked well pissed too.

Good for them. Deserve a few looseners being so far away from home with probably not a huge ability to do tourist stuff or cash in organisation(s) to entertain them

I have the impression, that the standard of refereeing has improved with the introduction of the Saffer officials. Is it just me?

ESPN Scrum.com is back on the scene having not covered the last couple of years of the league.
