Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
Toulouse are totally up in arms about the EPCR decision. Coupled with the Leicester / Bordeaux decision this could get nasty and Leinster could be an accidental beneficiary. The second half of this rather long article, as to why Connacht have now qualified, sets out the French attitude:Flash Gordon wrote: ↑January 21st, 2022, 3:29 pmD4surfer wrote: ↑January 21st, 2022, 2:54 pm From France Bleu. It looks like the French league are backing Toulouse.
"Scandalous decision" according to the LNR, which is considering legal action
The National Rugby League goes to the support of Stade Toulousain after the decision of the EPCR. In a press release, the LNR "denounces a scandalous and totally unfounded decision". According to the League, Toulouse "has formed a group of players to field a team capable of playing this match, and this in full respect of the EPCR health regulations and the French health protocol".
The LNR believes that "EPCR's decision is therefore taken in violation of its own regulations. It is incomprehensible and seriously harms the club and the fairness of the competition".
"This decision is irresponsible," continues the president of the National Rugby League, René Bouscatel. "I have decided to convene an LNR Steering Committee urgently to discuss the follow-up, including legal action, to be taken following this decision".
Toulon, Leinster and now Toulouse done by these rulings. These clubs have 12 stars between them. If the ERC keep pissing off the elite European Clubs, this is only going to go one way.

Wouldn't bet on Leinster getting anything overturned even if Toulouse did. The Heino is run by a bunch of fly-by-nights.Ruckedtobits wrote: ↑January 21st, 2022, 4:45 pmToulouse are totally up in arms about the EPCR decision. You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Has anybody, even informally, looked at the effect on both Pools if EPCR assigning a 0-0 result for every unplayed game? EPCR now need to find a solution which isn't going to cost them a legal fortune or an embargo by some teams. That might be a 'get out of jail card' for them

Speaking of shocks.
HT in London
Harlequins 22 - 23 Castres.
Three tries a piece.
Castres giving it a bit of wellie.
A lot of finger nail biting in the South of France tonight.

EPCR....what a bunch of clowns...
Time after time they find ways to make themselves look stupid. It's almost unbelievable.

Disgraceful refereeing by Adamson. He should be nowhere near a top level game. Castres absolutely robbed blind.
Dont Panic!

Think the try was good but the penalty before that was harsh.

I'd love a crack at Quins in a knockout game. Reckon we'd annihilate them up front.
Tadhg v Marler would be tasty.

They keep playing till Quins win?
Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
You really have to question the integrity of this year's H Cup. Castre were completely robbed in those past few minutes between 2 forward passes a penalty and a score awarded that was deemed to be not a try. Unless the TMO had access to a camera angle the viewer didn't, there was no evidence to suggest it was over the line!

Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
Yep, its possible the try was good, the TMO has access to angles that aren't necessarily shown on TV
However, the couple of decisions that led up to it though, they were shocking.
