Glasgow V Leinster Rainbow Cup Friday 4th June 2015

Post by outcast eddie »

Two weeks away but I can't remember if there will be an injury update today even though there is no game this weekend.

I'd really like to see some good fortune befall Ciaran Frawley for a change and see him get a run of games. I have a sneaking suspicion he is a real diamond but can't get enough pitch time to show his ability or progress his skillset. Hoping his injury is slight and he'll be named against Glasgow.

I guess we'll go full metal jacket against the Weegies for all the reasons mentioned before but our stellar selection looked flat against Ulster.

Some rotation in some positions may happen.
The odds are good but the goods are odd.

Can't believe you don't remember it. The game with that guy? Who ran on to the pitch? With that thing?

Now you're doing a me and misremembering entirely. That was the other match that time.

Season feels over with the break.

Suppose games were needed for the Lions tour.

Rest anyone we can with a niggle, give the Lions and standbys whatever minutes they need. Then expect whoever is left to play to win.

Think we should all be released back to our counties and enjoy the GAA season

Will Connors has had knee surgery.

JGP returns to full training, Sexton still being assessed in training.

There is no new injury update for the following who remain unavailable for selection: Thomas Clarkson (hamstring), Ciarán Frawley (shoulder), Rhys Ruddock (calf), Harry Byrne (hamstring), Jack Dunne (ankle), Dan Leavy (knee), Adam Byrne (hamstring), Conor O’Brien (knee) and Max Deegan (knee).

Does anyone know if any of the long term injured lads aren't likely to be back for the start of next season? Would be great to see pictures of Leavy/Deegan/O'Brien back in training.

Brilliant to see both of them back in action. Both have shown huge potential but really need to deliver next year or face the chopping block you'd imagine.

On a related note, I had no idea that the Connacht centre Sean O'Brien (seemingly heading to Exeter) was COB's brother.

O'Brien looks a good bit bigger across the shoulders too.
