Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
I may be doing them a disservice I but I really get the feeling they don't want them ('A' games that is) or at best they see them as a necessary evil.
Too harsh?

Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
Jack Dunne injured again?
Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
Wow. That's pretty much strong enough to be a full team in some years I've seen. When I saw that I checked the time to see if there was any way I could go.mildlyinterested wrote: ↑November 12th, 2021, 12:02 pm Leinster ‘A’ team to play Ulster ‘A’:

Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
In past seasons, if we had a match last, this or next weekend, thats the full team that'd probably start alright

Yay!
I think
Edit: Scott Penney Scored a Try anyway!
Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
Indeed, finished 12-8. Weather looked typical of November, looked a fresh day at Banbridge.

Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
The progress that Ireland are making is getting me excited about what Leinster can do this season.
It’s still early days for the Porter switch but it’s working well so far. Kelleher has kicked on hugely and Sheehan isn’t far behind. Our front row is stronger than Ireland’s too because we’ve got Big Mike.
I’m repeating part of what I said in the match thread but Ryan and Ringrose seem to be back in form, Doris looks like a world class 6, Lowe has improved his work rate and is being used really effectively off his wing, and Keenan has kicked on even further. Now that I think of it, I’m not sure there’s a 15 in world rugby that I’d have ahead of Hugo right now.
It feels like we’ll have more strings to our bow when we come up against a La Rochelle or Saracens.

Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
The IRFU say Johnny Sexton will be out for 4-6 weeks with a twisted knee and ankle.
Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
That would make him touch-and-go for both HEC pool matches in December. The way our pack are playing and Bath's current woes suggest he wouldn't be especially missed for the home match but would be handy to have him available for the trip to Montpellier.
Look out Itchy, he's Irish
Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
Basically Christmas.
3-4 Leinster games. Early case is Montpellier away on the 17th.
