Exactly. Hopefully he can stay fit.

After 20 minutes with the squad this season?
I'll go with his unfashionable sibling, who has delivered at higher levels than this.

Better opportunity for Ross to continue doing what he's been doing for us for three seasons.

it's not one versus the other, both will be required over the coming weeks.

to be expected, i think leinster could lose a few players due to financial issues and a minutes crunch.

Dooley would be an obvious one. He could be starting at a prem club.

Not sure why Ross would want to leave though, unless it's a money thing.

He's not getting selected in green, but is getting loads of time and opportunities in blue.

Beacause yesterday Johnny dropped out of the squad and was replaced by Jack Carty, not by Ross Byrne. Next day he's off.

Ross is the starting Leinster outhalf for probably the rest of the year.

If he leaves he creates a problem. Leinster have to replace him, which means accelerating Harry and probably Hawkshaw. So his gametime drops. Or Leinster sign someone, which won't be cheap, so he has a strong hand for salary negotiation.

Dooley is in a different boat. He could probably get an early release from Leinster if a short term opp came up.

3 international looseheads plus 2 in the academy. We can manage, but it depends on what Healy does.

If Healy is still converting but just took a break to play for Ireland then Dooley may still like his options. But even then he's a guy who could be in the international squad if his style of play was wanted. If he can get valued like that elsewhere then it's a sensible move, and I'm almost always against players moving.

Do both players have the same agent? We had 3 players floated by their agent a few months ago with nothing coming from it

nothings been decided either way, i'd imagine we wont hear officially if a player is leaving until after the new year.

some players will be leaving though, thats inevitable.

Sorry to see Pete leave. He is a clear example for club lads to follow. I'd rate him more highly than Ed Byrne but neither Leinster or Ireland coaches do so what do I know?

Thigh injury for JGP will have him out for a few weeks, Luke called up.

Our halfback stocks have been depleted a bit. Hopefully both he and J10 back for Europe.

+1.
I'm in the same boat with my Ranking of Dooley & Byrne. I still believe Dooley has considerable potential to be a top class LHP.

A fairly unusual puff piece from MK. Almost reads like one of those articles in Sports Illustrated in the weeks before the NFL Draft. Suppose that somebody has to balance the Munster hype on young out-halves.
