No idea. I thought that he would be a cert to travel down to SA. He was announced as back in training three weeks ago: https://www.leinsterrugby.ie/injury-upd ... ark-clash/
His prospects of being kept on don't look particularly good based on the squad selected for SA. Frawley will probably be first-choice 12 on the trip, and then you've got Tommy O'Brien, O'Loughlin and Hawkshaw who can provide cover, two of whom won't be here next season. Adam Byrne is also leaving, but is selected when COB isn't. They could have taken three wingers (ROL, TOB and Russell) and fitted COB in in the travelling centres (Frawley, Osborne, COB). All-in-all, it doesn't look as if he's in their plans - assuming he's fit.

Cronin officially retiring. So many great memories of him tearing up the pitch, a real joy to watch for so many years.

Can’t say I expected him to go into coaching! Great opportunity for him at Mary’s, wish him all the best.

Big list and a lot of changes there. Two double centurions in Dev and Cro. You'd have to say that it's a natural end to two very long and rewarding careers – Cro made his first class pro debut in 2007, 15 years ago, and Dev in 2006, 16 years ago. I was in college when Dev started playing for Leinster.

Five lads from the 2014 U20s – the great Dan Leavy, Dooley [with a 100+ Leinster appearances to his credit], Locko [just behind him on 94], AB+ and Josh Murphy, who played a year up. It's a big chunk of lads in their physical prime to lose from the squad.

But we have always had to turn the page on players between seasons. A big part of the pleasure in watching Leinster is the excitement of seeing guys like Jack Boyle, Joe McCarthy, Jamie Osbourne, James Culhane, Ryan Baird, Harry Byrne, Alex Soroka, Scott Penny etc. take the chances that they get and make a name for themselves.

Plus it's another year closer to the SPICER era.

I know there's a low chance Henshaw leaves but it'll continue to make me nervous until it's announced that he has actually signed a new contract 😅

Jenkins signing and Ryan staying gives us a bit more of a second row depth chart. Good age profile too.

Delighted to hear this, he was very much one of the players I was thinking about when I said we might not have heard the last of the departures.

I’m still certain he’s got the ability needed, injuries are the only worry from my POV, although they’re a very big worry. He’s just gone 23 so you’d imagine this is make or break for him, fingers crossed it goes well.

Liam Turner signed a senior deal now also.

Announcements at 12pm and 3pm on the button.

So dollars to donuts we're getting an additional announcement at 6pm
He's gotten awfully fond of that brick

I don’t think it does. Ryan did the warmup on Fri so must be close to returning, I’d say the choice is to not send him around the world and to trust that high intensity training with the first 15 will benefit him more.

Molony will start against Leicester for sure, Baird would be nice for bench impact alright.
He might, or they might start Ryan and Toner with Ross on the bench. Haven't seen confirmation anywhere that Joe McCarthy is injured. If he isn't, they held onto him here for some reason. Baird has injured his back, with absolutely no injury update for 4 weeks. Can't see him having any role after such a break

AFAIK, Lancaster, McBride and Leamy are all in Dublin focused on our forwards with Felipe worked with J10 and backline. I expect Porter, Kelleher & Big Mike back on Sunday immediately after Sharks game. That will effectively give them a full 14 day prep for Leicester game - very similar to 6N window between games. Flight departures for Paris or Amsterdam from Durban are normally scheduled between 9-11 pm on Saturday nights.
Toner hasn’t started in Europe for us this season. Ross has started
every game. So that would be a surprise if they parachute Dev into a QF.
I'm only guessing but this interview with Dev suggests he considers his Season is far from over:

3 academy players probably worth a chance as dev players.

Ryan hasn't played. Turner played 6 games in 3 months and then disappeared. Moloney played 4 in 6 weeks late in his time in the academy. Players going in those positions so room in the depth chart.
