I'd imagine this will be in the Sat evening slot, with Toulouse v Bordeaux the Sunday matinee.

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle
watched Rochelle game yesterday...they have a very strong scrum and pack. Their 5 is particularly savage. shredded sale upfront yesterday.
They play some nice rugby too as well as the grunt stuff.
should be a cracking game but I think we have enough to edge it.
Ringers back next week?

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle
So Jonno gets a 3rd shot at beating Leinster after Clermont & Ulster and RO'G gets a second shot after some good days and some bad ones with Munster. Least preferred option for both of them except for being at home.
For us another game on the road but not a big difference with no supporters. A good surface but usually a wind in this stadium. We've faced Skelton before so no surprises there but Kerr-Barlow and West with Vito at No 8 are wily opponents. Although their pack is big, it's not Sarries or even Exeter so it's all about getting our Squad ready and our heads engaged.
No doubt, the Irish media will have a ball and drive the RO'G agenda for the next three weeks and Leo won't mind that a bit.

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle
TBH we shouldn't be talking Rog, Jonno, Lar or anyone else up, for that matter.
We're the match of any team in the competition.
Our coaching ticket are as good or better than any around and that includes International level.
On top of that, Leinster are virtually a full nternational team.
Our two main risks are injuries and having to deal with the favourite's tag which at the S/F stages of a competition is less of a problem.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Well available for selection anyway. Yesterday's performances have broadened the selection options IMO.mildlyinterested wrote: ↑April 11th, 2021, 5:34 pm hope to have Ryan, Doris, Ringrose and JGP back for this.. will Sexton be available?

Jesus lads, munster really are living rent free in your heads.
I think there should be a nomenclature agreement relating to the four primary figures.
If you want to call it ROG's La Rochelle, you must also refer to us as Lancaster's Leinster
If you call it Cullen's Leinster, then you must also refer to Gibbes' La Rochelle.
You can't mix up heads of state and heads of government!

Squatting in my podcast feed, more like!
I have no animosity toward Munster, I’m just sick of hearing about them

So, will the team be required to go into quarantine for 2 weeks after this game?

As things stand the entire travelling party will be required to go into hotel quarantine for 10 days and if on the 10th day they return a negative test they can finish the period at home.

Not one of the remining teams in the Comp would have wanted us in the semi-even at home. We have it all - squad, leadership,
experience, physicality, mentality, street smarts, etc, etc,.
Play like we can, and have, and a 5th star beckons.

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle
Yeah, we have a lot of quality to bring into the squad. Massive respect to the guys who went so well against Exeter, but Ryan and Ringrose are the last two Irish Players of the Year, and Doris would have been a contender for this year's award based on his performances in October and November. JGP is a massive step-up from HOS, not going to beat about the bush there. They would all make the squad better.mildlyinterested wrote: ↑April 11th, 2021, 5:34 pm hope to have Ryan, Doris, Ringrose and JGP back for this.. will Sexton be available?

Look they may well be very good points but I think it's quite clear that all the rules of sledging dictate it's Gibbes' La Rochelle from here out.Dave Cahill wrote: ↑April 11th, 2021, 5:52 pm Jesus lads, munster really are living rent free in your heads.
