I think the hearing is tomorrow. If I'm reading this right he wasn't due to be heard until next week (so I assume would have been available to play) but they requested to move it forward to tomorrow.

Priorities?

Strong, but not a XV to win a 5th star. Need Ryan plus at least one of Ringrose and Doris (in that order) back for that to happen.
Like the team, would go with the same selection myself. Fardy put in a massive shift against Munster [best performance of the season from him] but it would be asking too much of him to do the same again on a short turn around. We'll have to play it very fast against them, but I think that we have the players and the game plan to do just that.

This might sound a bit risky, but I'd seriously think of putting Dan Sheehan on the bench. In fact I'd just go ahead and do it.
Having Kelleher and Sheehan as a one-two punch seems almost unfair to the opposition. Haven't seen anything wrong with Sheehans darts either.
Like Kelleher he throws one wonky one per game. Keith Wood says they both can sort out their throwing.

If it's that easy why didn't Keith Wood sort out his own throwing?

I always laugh when Woody says that too!

Having said that, it's a static skill that clearly improves with practice. Much better to have that part of the game to work on and tweak, rather than trying to make a player an athlete like Kelleher of Sheahan.

Both of these guys are absolutely savage prospects and should be our 2 and 16 for years to come. Great position to be in.

Wood never managed to sort out his own throwing so he's not qualified to make that comment.

You're surely not suggesting that Wood simply didn't practice enough.

Excited nerves starting. Just hope we are able to keep the pace up with only a 6 day turnaround

I was under the impression this was true too, but looks like Elstadt is not going to play vs Munster becuase he has been in South Africa within the last 2 weeks and would be required to undergo 2 weeks quarantine.

I'm thinking possible changes (I'm not saying they should, just saying what the coaches might be thinking):

Byrne, Tracy, Furlong = Front Row
One of Moloney/Baird for DEV/Fardy = Don't see them starting both Moloney and Baird in the 2nd Row
JGP for Luke
Lowe for one of Larmour\Kearney

Can't see any options for changes in the backrow or midfield due to injuries

I'd rotate Healy and Porter for Dooley and Furlong.
Baird for Fardy.
Lowe for Larmour.

I'd have no problem with that (although personally I just always feel better when Fardys on the pitch :D )

6 day turn around might be asking a lot from Fardy.

I think you’ll find that:
1: OS (no relation tbtj) probably didn’t make a judgement, he’s just saying Woodie’s full of the brown stuff
2: even if he did he (rightly or wrongly) considers himself the ultimate authority on almost anything posted here
C: as a real rugby bloke he gets it
