I assume Josh Murphy is available?
If he is, I'd definitely bench him instead of Molony also.
He has the sheer size and power we might need in a backrow sub.

Re: Leinster Vs Toulon 2021, Friday the 2nd of April, 5.30pm
He has been really, really good for us this season. One stat from the Pro14's [brilliant] stats page [here: https://www.pro14.rugby/statistics/players ] that is revealing is his successful carries: 66, which puts him sixth of all players in the league.
Successful Carries:
1. 86 - Coombes
2. 78 - Penny
3. 74 - Ruddock
4. 69 - Kalamafoni
5. 67 - Coetzee
6. 66 - Murphy
That's great in the first place, but then when you put it as a proportion of his overall carries:
Overall Carries
1. 167 - Kalamafoni
2. 148 - Coombes
3. 143 - Ruddock
4. 135 - Coetzee
5. 126 - Penny ...
...
31. 92 - Murphy
72% [rounded up] of his carries were over the gainline - that compares with 62% for Penny, 58% for Coombes, 52% for Ruddock, 50% for Coetzee and 41% for Kalamafoni. I realise that there is genuine value in making a lot of carries per game – somebody has to tackle you every carry you make, which puts stress and fatigue on the opposition – but that rate of success is something I never thought I'd see from Murphy. He has become a really quality ball-carrier.

what i'd love to see in match statistics is a stat on how many opp players were engaged by each carry.

Ruddock always seems to take at least 2.Dave Cahill wrote: ↑March 29th, 2021, 8:25 pm what i'd love to see in match statistics is a stat on how many opp players were engaged by each carry.

Having Kelleher and Sheehan as a one-two punch seems almost unfair to the opposition. Haven't seen anything wrong with Sheehans darts either.hugonaut wrote: ↑March 29th, 2021, 7:39 pmLike the team, would go with the same selection myself. Fardy put in a massive shift against Munster [best performance of the season from him] but it would be asking too much of him to do the same again on a short turn around. We'll have to play it very fast against them, but I think that we have the players and the game plan to do just that.backrower8 wrote: ↑March 29th, 2021, 3:49 pm Dooley, Kelleher, Furlong, Baird, Toner, Ruddock, VDF, Conan, Luke, Johnny, Lowe, Robbie, ROL, Kearney, Keenan + Treacy, Healy, Porter, Fardy, Murphy, JGP, Ross, Larmour. One or other injury at 10 may see both Harry & Frawley deployed.
Strong, but not a XV to win a 5th star. Need Ryan plus at least one of Ringrose and Doris (in that order) back for that to happen.
This might sound a bit risky, but I'd seriously think of putting Dan Sheehan on the bench. In fact I'd just go ahead and do it.

think there's a bigger concern about his scrummaging.Jcahill1 wrote: ↑March 29th, 2021, 9:04 pmHaving Kelleher and Sheehan as a one-two punch seems almost unfair to the opposition. He’s very tall for a hooker, will be interesting to see how he manages at scrum time but as a rugby player he’s a serious talentmildlyinterested wrote: ↑March 29th, 2021, 9:21 pmthink there's a bigger concern about his scrummaging.Jcahill1 wrote: ↑March 29th, 2021, 9:04 pmHaving Kelleher and Sheehan as a one-two punch seems almost unfair to the opposition. That Toloun side looks too good to be as low as it is in the French league, they have a massive pack and some good backs
However you guys look to be fitter and more mobile, you could do with a nice sunny day a fast track and I don't see them being able to cope with you for 80 minutes
I reckon it'll be close for 60 but you'll pull away and win by 10 to 15

It could, but I assume they arrive on Thursday in a charter plane "bubble" and travel immediately into a "EPCR-MONITORED" bubble.mildlyinterested wrote: ↑March 30th, 2021, 1:36 pm Could this affect the game going ahead?
