Match Preview
Leinster won a tougher than expected game last week against the Dragons to go five points clear at the top of Pool B.
The Dragons were game from the start and Leinster's discipline was poor as they handed the Dragons too many easy points. Every time the vastly superior Leinster pack got rumbling though, they eventually got over for a try. But the Dragons kept them honest and it was no bad thing to have a decently competitive game instead of another handy blowout.

Bookies have it Leinster 1/12, Glasgow 8/1 and a draw 50/1. The handicap is 18 points.

Given the number of unavailable players, that’s a very decent and balanced Leinster side. Obviously Penny at 8 is the exception! With our three no. 8s and Ruddock unavailable I would like to see Soroka get a run.
The midfield is really exciting and I hope to see a more fluid attack with, what is an exciting back three, getting the ball in space.

This is our biggest regular season league game for yonks, followed by another, even bigger game the week after.
Exactly what we need, a bit of pressure rugby!

Ulster win but with no try bonus point. We're completely in control of of our own destiny now.

Decent looking pack we are putting out. Hopefully we won't be disjointed but it seems to be the theme this week.
Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
This needs to be a 5 pointer. Feel pretty confident it will be, but I can’t see us being able to beat Ulster next week with the players we have available vs the players they do. They are the next best side in the competition and are pretty close to full strength, we need all the buffer we can get.

All things considered Glasgow could be with a speculative tenner
Great to see Ulster fail to pick up the bonus point, any type of win here makes the game in ravenhill irrelevant.
Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
I don't think that's true. We need a BP win tomorrow to be 6pts in front. If only 5pts, we could end up level. The next thing is matches won not pts diff. They would be first on that basis.Jonny tight lips wrote:All things considered Glasgow could be with a speculative tenner

Even 4 tomorrow and 1 next week (with Ulster not getting TBP) would leave it as:heno wrote: ↑February 27th, 2021, 9:14 pmI don't think that's true. We need a BP win tomorrow to be 6pts in front. Leinster 60 (11 wins)
Ulster 58 (12 wins)
after next weekend.
That wouldn't be a bad outcome at all.
But we absolutely can't afford to lose tomorrow.

Don't worry young wixfjord, we'll rip them a new one.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

I’d that true? If so why even have points difference but sure either way I doubt they will 5-0 us even with the worlds greatest and must talked about scrum half.Between losing to us and their 100% loss record in Europe they haven’t won a game of substance this season.heno wrote: ↑February 27th, 2021, 9:14 pmI don't think that's true. It's matches won, then points difference.

Expect a big performance from Josh VDF here.
Connors took a step forward yesterday so I'd imagine he wants to put down a marker.
Adam Hastings' Fr Damo haircut could be ruffled a few times...

By the look on Frawley's face, he has injured himself in warm-up!
Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
Yeah, confirmed Frawley is out and Osbourne is starting. Max O’Reilly promoted to bench.
