What do you think Leinster will do with Gunne and McCarthy, sign them during the season like Osbourne or wait till next year?mildlyinterested wrote: ↑July 21st, 2022, 8:14 am So sub-academy player who got academy places:

I was surprised when they signed Prendergast they did not sign Gunne at the same time.

They could join early, just depends on how they perform over the next few months.
Re: Leinster Academy 2021-22

This guy? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Rennie
Don't know much about him either but I think we can do better
Re: Leinster Academy 2021-22
Leo met with Dave Rennie the Australia coach. They have been friends for years.
When Rennie was head coach in Glasgow Leo and Dave went out for a pint together after the match when we played Glasgow. Sometimes before the match they would meet and have lunch.

Re: Leinster Academy 2021-22
There’s an article on the42.ie about Leo and Dave Rennie meeting up fairly regularly for coffee and a chat about rugby. They met this week. Started when Leo visited the Chiefs nearly ten years ago.
Look out Itchy, he's Irish

Dave Rennie is probably one of the five best Head Coaches on the planet.LeinsterLeader wrote: ↑November 17th, 2022, 9:24 pmThis guy? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Rennie

That said, I would be surprised if he was interested in a Club coaching role now. NZ fans website listed him alongside Crusaders & Blues Head Coaches (Robertson & McDonald) as the strongest candidates to succeed Foster & Schmidt after RWC23.
Leo & Rennie are long-term friends and a catch-up would be perfectly normal
