I think Leinster have planned for it well. It's clear they have their duo who will battle it out to replace him with Frawley a potential wild card and cover.
It also looks like we dodged we dodged a bullet RE: Carbury, given his injuries
Would he have been injured so much had he stayed? Doubtful. Munster S&C is worse than ours.
Jesus, we lose more players at pre-match warm-ups than any team I can recall.

People are stressed, quality of life for athletes is poorer. This leads to higher injury rates unfortunately.

These players aren't training and living in isolation from the outside world.

If injury rates were significantly higher than comparable peer teams then it's possibly an area for concern but definitely something they'll be aware of internally and seeking to remedy.

Commentator Robson said before Byrne's early peno v Ulster that he had kicked 37 consecutive pens/cons in the Pro14. He had 5 from 5 last night. Has he really converted his last 42 kicks at goal? Awesome if true.

Either he thinks it’s 54 kicks in a row or he’s just being weird.

I don't know about the numbers, but he mentioned Priestland's record in the Prem and then I think he mentioned the amount of consecutive successful kicks by Ross & Harry combined.

Harry has the club record for most conversions in a game with nine earlier this season - I forget who against.

Actually I was wrong. Robo said he had 37 successful kicks in a row in the Pro14, he had a further 6 against Ulster that makes it now 43. That is some going, I had him down as an "OK" kicker but actually he's metronomic.

It's a reference to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
42 is the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything.
At some point stuck on pre human earth they decide to find the question to the ultimate answer using scrabble tiles picked at random - they spelled above

Robbo was wrong!!!

Prior to Saturday Ross had 39 consecutive kicks in the Pro14 - the last time he missed a kick in that competition was against Edinburgh in October 2019. His current run of 45 kicks came in 13 games:
  • 15/15 v Ulster over 4 games
  • 5/5 v Munster over 3 games
  • 7/7 v Dragons over 2 games
and
  • 6/6 v Connacht - 1 game
  • 6/6 v Benetton - 1 game
  • 5/5 v Glasgow - 1 game
The one other kick was the important penalty v Zebre in October 2019 which won us the game 3-0

Shag it anyway, it’s tricky enough to shoehorn Douglas Adams in without the actual stats being wrong.

It’s so Ross Byrne to do that completely under the radar. He’s congenitally underrated.

Adam’s was such a fan of bad stats he premised the Restaurant at the End of the Universe on it.

Not as good as the Pro14 - here’s his stats for the past two seasons across Pro14, H-Cup and International

Goal-kicking in general has become congenitally underrated!

Look how Saracens beat us:

02' - Pen | A. Goode
08' - Pen | A. Goode
10' - Pen | A. Goode
24' - Pen | E. Daly
27' - Pen | E. Daly

Leinster 3 - 15 Saracens before half an hour and they had barely broken a sweat. Basically 3 points and 90 seconds of recovery every 5 mins. Loads of gas in the tank for defending.
