Yeah he just had his second child, i'm sure returning to covid free NZ may be an attractive proposition for his young family.

Great news about Doris. Fingers crossed there are no setbacks.

Delighted for Dan Sheehan too. I’ve a terrible feeling Sheehan will be “encouraged” to change provinces. Hopefully Dan backs himself at Leinster. He looks a real talent.

Is Dan Sheehan from Dublin like it says in the article?

Not too worried about Sheehan being encouraged to move. There’s plenty of room for two excellent hookers, much the same way we have both Ireland’s best tightheads and have had both Ireland’s best looseheads in the past.

I think any moves in those areas previously have been player initiated, looking to be the first choice rather than rotating with someone of a similar level.

Osborne to Munster confirmed

He could actually get a lot of time down there with Casey & Murray with Ireland. I'd say he'll fancy his chances of getting ahead of Neil Cronin.

When do we find out about contract renewals and who gets promoted from academy? When do Leinster usually release this news?

May in a usual season. I wouldn't expect much anytime soon until the squad is finalized.

I believe CK isn’t getting a contract extension. Ealing beckons.

Ah that's a big shock if true. Huge shame too, he has been really good since he came back.

I feel sorry for him because he has clearly put a lot into it.

Can't be that tight if the IRFU are dishing out central contracts to players who won't be at the next world cup. Maybe this is extremely harsh but I think it's a simple case of him just not being good enough for Leinster, to be honest I wouldn't like to see his name down on a euro team sheet. But I hope he rips it up wherever he ends up.

Wouldn't think twice if he was named to start in a euro game.

Leinster are hardly a producing loads of quality wings either.

Fair enough I don't see it at all but I know plenty of others rate him. He could have been offered more money abroad for all we know too, plus he hasn't been confirmed as leaving has he?. I wonder if we'll be allowed sign a NIQ utility back, I'd rather that then the TH prop we are rumored to be in for, especially if Vakh comes out firing.

Maybe it's his call. He looks around sees Lowe and Larmour in the Irish squad, and DK the first name on the teamsheet. Then he looks at the academy guys and thinks, "I'm 26 - I've got less than 10 years left to achieve my goals and give myself a start when I hit civvy street, there is a lot of young talent behind me. Am I going to get regular European Rugby at Leinster, has the national team ship sailed?". The guy has to do whats best for him at some point. I'd be disappointed to see him go, his attitude since he came back has been first rate - but I'd completely understand if he does leave.
