Hmmm, that doesn't reflect very well on Leinster physio/S&C side of things to have guys coming back and getting injured almost immediately.

Could just be luck, but two in one go is strange.

Is that curtains for Adam Byrne? Not sure if his contract is up for renewal, but we suddenly have quite a bit of depth in the back three, and it looks likely he won’t be in a place to feature for us again until at least the beginning of next season.

I figured he would have had to come back and put in a strong showing til the end of season to guarantee a contract. Without any games it feels like his wages could be spent better elsewhere unfortunately. Feel very sorry for him but money is going to be increasingly tight come next year's contract offers too.

Ireland and Leinster out-half Johnny Sexton has signed a 1 year extension to his IRFU contract up to the end of the 2021/22 season.

Just totaled the number of players Leinster have used thus far this season.

55 players used - surely our best total or close to it?

Only senior players not to feature are Vakh, Adam Byrne and Conor O'Brien

We've used 8 academy players and 2 sub academy players.

We've used one AIL player on a short term contract.

Do you think Osborne will get a pro contract or academy contract?

Deegan featured this season, did his knee in the game against the Dragons in October.

Since Leo took over in 15/16 our numbers have been as follows:

15/16: Senior = 44 Academy = 11 Total = 55
16/17: Senior = 40 Academy = 11 Total = 51
17/18: Senior = 44 Academy = 11 Total = 55
18/19: Senior = 44 Academy = 13 Total = 57
19/20: Senior = 44 Academy = 09 Total = 53
20/21: Senior = 45 Academy = 10 Total = 55

19/20: Senior = 44 Academy = 09 Total = 53
20/21: Senior = 45 Academy = 10 Total = 55
So we're pretty much on par!

Great stats as ever.

Definitely wont get more than 55 I reckon with the pointy end of the season here.

It's possibly Charlie Ryan and Martin Moloney would have gotten a run out if fit however but alas we will never know

Does the Rainbow Cup count as part of the current season? And will players like Fardy and Cronin be around for it?

Vakh is back!

Brilliant news.

Doesn't look like full contact, but would be amazing to see him get a bench spot for one of the final few games.

Good fillup for our TH stocks too.

looks a good bit leaner. If Bent does indeed leave, I wonder will they be happy with Vakh, Clarkson and McGrath as tighthead depth..

A lot of potential there but not a huge amount of experience. There'd by plenty of on the job training there which Leinster don't usually do. What I mean is they generally like to have an experienced guy in situ and ease a less experienced guy in behind him. Be interesting to see alright.

i'd imagine ideally Bent would stay another season while they blood the younger guys but it may not be possible

Yeah its an Interesting one. I can't see them wanting to let him go (if anything hes probably playing his best rugby this season) so maybe they can't afford him or the contract they are offering isn't as good as one hes being offered elsewhere.

I suppose the other alternative is he's calling it a day. Interesting to see how it pans out alright.
