Yeah not great for him, could give Harry B a chance to overtake him in pecking order.

2nd preseason in a row he has gotten injured.

Hugo Keenan (Jimmy O'Brien, 62); Fergus McFadden (Adam Byrne, 50), Jimmy O'Brien (Rory O'Loughlin, half-time), Joe Tomane (Conor O'Brien, half-time), Cian Kelleher (Dave Kearney, half-time); Ciaran Frawley (Ross Byrne, 28), Hugh O'Sullivan (Jamison Gibson-Park, half-time); Peter Dooley (Michael Milne, 66), Rónan Kelleher (Bryan Byrne, 66), Michael Bent (Roman Salanoa, 66), Ross Molony CAPTAIN, Ryan Baird, Max Deegan (Caelan Doris, 62), Scott Penny (Will Connors, 50), Caelan Doris (Scott Fardy, half-time).

So looks like at half-time, Fardy comes on at 6 and Deegan moves to 8. At 62 minutes, Doris replaces Deegan at 8.

Finishing team:

Milne, Byrne, Salanoa, Molony, Baird, Fardy, Connors, Doris, JGP, RB, Kearney, COB, ROL, Byrne, JOB.

We're actually losing if you measure the score by the new system: Northampton 19 -3 St. Michael's

Great that Baird seems to be getting loads of game time. Looks like he's being fast tracked ahead of Dunne which is interesting.

Baird's always been the better prospect in comparison to Dunne, whose progress last season was a pleasant surprise. Both are still only 20 so just baby giraffes in 2nd row terms.

I think it's interesting in terms of what we want to do as a team as well. We could play him as a rangy 6, but if we've decided that we want a baller like him in the engine room then I think that says a lot about how we want to play. I know we've always wanted to play high tempo stuff but I thought that the Saracens game might have made us rethink things.

I'd say Baird could become a really important impact sub very quickly, he's perfect for it really.

Fair play!

Mind you, quite frequently those scoring systems work in the Swordsmens' favour

Who has the most development potential Frawley, Ross or Harry?

Probably a lot of recent bias from me here but hard to look past Harry. He's got the silky passing and effortless kicking technique of Ross but seems a good bit more athletic. Have been extremely impressed with what I've seen of him.

I do like the look of Frawley a lot also. Both obviously far from the finished article but I think Harry probably has a higher ceiling
He's gotten awfully fond of that brick

Interesting that Ferg took the conversions before Ross came on for Frawley

One more thing for the "work on" list for training next week: placing the ball for a try. Some very ropey finishes!

A lot of lovely little touches from JOB in that. Really looking forward to seeing how (and where) he develops.

The cross kick from Byrne was a beauty. Such a hard skill too.

One of our forwards hit a serious line for the third try. Right before Bent. Think it was Baird. Lovely stuff and HOS did well too.

I thought they called the small ones shrimp and the big ones prawns? Either way I'm hungry now.

I love how the reports didn't say who made the crossfield kick but we all knew who it was

HOS looked far more decisive in that clip, good to see.
