Nucifora’s, Dawson’s & Leo’s contracts will all be up in 2022.

Think we need either Mick or Leo or both in there at the top of the IRFU in order to get the Irish team to a higher level. The Leinster pursuit of excellence has to be pursued and if possible replicated at national level. Anything else is unacceptable, IMO.

Yes. You've got the two.

If I had a pitchfork, and were in Ireland, I would have it aimed at Nucifora's bum.

Why wouldn't Leo be looking to take the next step up the corporate rugby ladder? He could do the Leinster CEO job. Does he have enough relevant experience to do the Nucifora job? Either position could be a stepping stone to IRFU CEO role. Philip Browne is 60 this year. More relevantly he is 23 years in the CEO role. He probably has at least 4 years in him if he wants it...but those 3 years, from 2022, in either of the other two roles would qualify Leo for the top slot...which I think he would be very suited to. He is not a bleeding edge coaching anorak type. Aged 44 in 2022, upstairs beckons me thinks.

This is all great news for Leinster fans, and I am gutted to hear this news as it means that the Leinster juggernaut will not be stopping any time soon.

I had hoped that either or both of Leo and Lancaster might be moved into the national setup post the 6 nations, but I suppose these contracts will not prevent that if both parties want the move to happen.
Just because a post upsets you, that doesn’t mean that it is wrong. People have different views in all aspects of life, this is a key ingredient to an interesting conversation.

Any new role for McNamara? I think Leinster need to do everything to keep him and bring him onto the senior set up!

I don’t think they’d announce a renewal for him

Robin Mcbryde getting the nod for the lions. Delighted for him, I have really enjoyed his seem less transition into our coaching ticket and another notch for us to have a lions coach on tour. Well done Leinster for letting him do it

Only if it's the two you really want and we all know which two we want.

That's a great relief. It would have been better to have Leo & Stuart signed until 2025 but very happy that he is still running the show.

Great news. Be nice to have confirmation on Stu too, particularly with Felipe rumoured to be off to Argentina.

Felipe leaving is obviously just a rumour but Noel McNamara had been heavily linked with Munster so if Prendergast is joining instead then perhaps McNamara could be joining us? He signed a two year deal last year with the Sharks but I could see it happening.

The story by Thornley in the IT that Sean O'Brien may replace Leamy in Leinster coaching in very specific and is presented by the IT as being factual (I.e. well sourced). A bit surprising as other than his well reported assistance to Tullow RFC, SO'B doesn't appear to have much coaching experience.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
