Mick Kearney posted on Instagram that he's leaving Zebre.

Wonder if he's calling it a day or will he look elsewhere
He's gotten awfully fond of that brick

Ronan Foley is currently starting for Toronto in the MLR. He's Canadian qualified so there's a good chance he could be playing international rugby soon.

He has a Canadian passport but is not eligible to play for the national team.

I thought the commentary team mentioned he had an Canadian parent? Could be wrong.

His parents are naturalised Canadian citizens (source: https://www.americasrugbynews.com/2021/ ... of-season/)

According to Rugby CA's website; "to be eligible to represent Canada, players must fulfill one of the following criteria:

Player was born in Canada;
One of the players’ parents were born in Canada;
One of the players’ Grandparents were born in Canada;
Player has completed 36 consecutive months of Residence immediately preceding the time of playing (effective January 2022 this will increase to 60 consecutive months)."

So despite having a Canadian passport Foley does not meet any of the eligibility requirements. Interesting fringe case and I wonder if it was one RC had considered.

Thanks, Toronto in the MLR are completely separate to RC and are allowed up to 10 foreign players in the squad, I think? So this doesn't matter to them other than the fact it made it easier to get him into the country, which was an issue for all teams this season. Good signing for them, no doubt RC will want him to qualify eventually.

Hughie O’Sullivan and SOB coming on and making a huge difference to get LI back in the game against Sale and helping to get them a 31-31 draw (almost won it with a PJ kick at the very end hitting the post).

Great to see SOB rolling back the years.

So our lads who play with"Munster" for the moment ....
Flake had a meh game, still missing the spark he showed with us. Loughman got a nice turnover that was about it. Goneway looks like a player who's low on confidence - can't help that he'll be in Zebos shadow all season and "Munster" fans are notoriously unforgiving so I worry for his future. Osborne.... did he even got on the pitch?

thought hughe was good enough off the bench, be interesting if he is another scrumhalf who thrives away from leinster.

Why are you putting Munster in inverted commas?

There can be a number of reasons. Today, lets go with - it is customary to put words in a foreign language, in this case Afrikaans, between inverted commas.
