Interesting he isn't referred to as a former Munster player.

Probably had more games/exposure there.

He never played for Munster.

Must be thinking of loughman.

Oisin and Jack Aungier are two of our former Academy players I always felt could be good pros or better. Both fell into the category of 'not developing as fast as they could' -possible by comparison to players like Tagdh, Marty or Porter. Both were better competitors on the field than in the gym.

Oisin at 26 and with his playing experience to date could make an impact in Saints who have an excellent coaching set-up. Aungier is already making a big impact in Connacht, as is Loughman in Munster, when he can avoid injury. Throw in the Byrne brothers, Michael Milne and our batch of young hookers and Leinster's production line of front-rows is fairly impressive.

Maybe I completely imagined he was on loan there.

Well there is 7 starting for Ulster tomorrow night.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Sky have been known to leave it very last minute with deals before.

Some of you may have noticed already but Leinster are running a "where are they now" feature on social media and the website. This is the one for John McWeeney. Did a great one on Brendan Burke too - lot's of great memories on the terrace at Donnybrook chanting his name!

Are we considering Cormac Izuchuckwu a Leinster exile? He’s a Tullamore man and came through Cistercians.

Anyway, he made his debut for Ulster tonight. He’s a 6’7” lock and played a lot of sevens. An interesting combination.

Archer and Ryan again tonight for Munster, can’t help but think Salanoa would of racked up some serious minutes for us this season.

+ And how

Aungier seems to have been the big beneficary. The strong suggestion was that he only moved to Connacht because Salanoa was staying in Leinster (only to change his mind and previous commitment at the last minute). Aungier has got game time and opportunity to compete well for a Squad spot in Connacht and has prospered in the environment.

I seem to recall that that’s why Leo was so pissed with salanoa. He had to cut aungier by keeping salanoa who then signed with Connacht only for Sal to backstab him and sign for Munster

I have some enmity here for Nucifora. He can block any move. He could have told Munster to withdraw the offer and let Salanoa wait for a year.

The system of enhanced provincial movement is his baby so he gets the blame for a big hole left in Leinster’s squad this season.

The net effect of the move was Munster cut bait on a decent ex-England U20s prop, Salanoa got less short term opportunities and Leinster had to muddle through by overusing players, signing a rare joker and promoting someone from the AIL.
