A FFS! If the guy can't be arsed to look it up, at least make him do the maths of adding 77 hours to my last post.

I tried looking it up on the fixtures function on the Leinster app, it's currently Donald Ducked. Here was my next port of call. I knew Xanthippe or one of the other good folks wouldn't see me high and dry. Unlike you having me do maths on a Wednesday! I expected more John that was so Donny B of you!

Fecking hate that Sky are involved. Do we know if RTE/TG4 get delayed coverage rights or am I confined to ATH highlights with Frankie Sheahan?

RTE have no rights whatsover for this seasons Pro12 or European competitions. TG4 will have delayed rights to games on sky (as each broadcast partner has to the games each other shows), what they will do with them I don't know

I'm looking forward to Sky's coverage. It looks like they're pushing it in a big way, and are now supporting online highlights for the Pro12 site/youtube. They're coverage is far, far better than anything RTE or TG4 can produce.

I have sky, so maybe I'm biased, but I've never had an issue streaming it either.

It's funny seeing Pro12 stuff on sky sports news, they never mentioned it before. Same with formula one before they had that. I think their coverage is great tbh, always has been for rugby. Not the same hype there is for football. I know there's a money issue but I'm much happier that they have it as opposed to the RTE lads who either know the square root of F all, never watch other games aside from the ones they're at, or just say things to be controversial.

I'll never forget that O''Brien fella saying "well Connacht won so I suppose we should talk about them". Disgraceful. You won't get that on sky.

Exactly. Some of RTE's coverage was laughable. I actually preferred TG4, despite my Irish being on the same level of a 6 year old (probably worse...)

I always get onboard the Sky hype train too, as superficial as it is, they know how to hype up a match. They'll make a Connaght v Dragons game exciting in their build up and analysis.

RTE don't deserve to cover the Pro12 after the way they derided it at every available opportunity over the years. Even at last years final that t*at Hook was calling it a joke competition minutes before the game kicked off FFS!

But not actually show the game.

There seems to be a 1-hour pro12 highlights show on TG4 on Saturday night according to the Sky app.

Meh. RTE or TG4 could've bought the rights. I'm just saying they could, if they were to show such a game. ;)

RTE now only have the 6 Nations to cover in rugby. It seems they are just giving up which probably means they will be outbid for the 6N eventually and then they will just leave the rugby TV field altogether. So much for their national remit and responsibility to the licence holders.
Rugby is a good occasion for keeping thirty bullies far from the centre of the city.

They could quite convincingly argue that their national remit and responsibility as regards rugby is being adequately served by covering the 6 Nations (which must remain on terrestrial television).
