Last thing I want to do after a game is get on a plane. The fatal flaw of those trips is you spend the wrong night away.

Just hope TG4 show it, as RTE will be showing the football.

You get used to it pretty quickly.

And missing the flight doesn't happen too often... Honest.

Omens aren't great I'm afraid. We've only won one opening day game in the last ten years and that was the only time we had a home fixture in the last seven years.

Scarlets gave us a right hiding last season in the opening day but they had a much stronger team available. After the Lions tour, their remaining internationals may well be rested this time hopefully?

as a South Terrace dweller and Season Ticket holder for the past 6 years....I really would welcome an agreed seating section of fans that bother to be passionate at matches. TBH I'm fed up getting filthy looks when I scream my head off... or have the temerity to stand up during a match !!! ( or stand up at half time , as I was berated for that last time... by a mother who's child apparently wanted to see the half time minis !!!)...

Presume you mean South Stand...you'd get some funny looks on the Terrace if you weren't standing up!

Back row by the camera stand mate. I stand up all game, nobody behind to moan. Chanting or whatever is still difficult to start on your lonesome, but I certainly make the effort.

I actually think the opposite - I prefer the evening before the game and the day of - I find the second evening gets fragmented - whether Leinster or Ireland games
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

Fragmented. Euphimism for can't remember what happened? :)

The crack is always good after a game. both sets of supporters out together etc. Win lose or draw.

The night before is always quieter.

Day tripping is the same for me. can't handle loads of travel followed by a game and then same again. you are on a high (or a low) after a game. having to travel a long distance and end up nowhere near where the crack is doesn't do it for me.

Only one Fri night home game (v Cardiff 27th Sep)... most of the away games are Fri nights, including the Scarlets and Glasgow next month.

Fecking knew it! :(

Will be on a trip to Kilkenny on the night so can forget finding a place willing to put on BBC Wales, while Ireland Sweden is on. Will have to bring the laptop and hope the wifi in the hotel is decent enough to get a stream of it somewhere.

TG4 showing the Munster game on Saturday, RTE showing feck all.
