think Roux was very used to/got away with boshing people at the previous levels he's played in but is now up against bigger boys

Have a look at the tape against Glasgow. He plays entirely without using his shoulders. He has immense power in his arms but never uses his shoulders. As previously commented, he gave away metres when standing as a pillar and never hit anybody with his very obvious bulk through a shoulder. I certainly hope that it is merely a question of getting his head used to having shoulders again after his op - otherwise we have another SA dud

Great news for us. He's a seriously underrated player on this side of the Irish Sea. He's a real work horse and extremely physical. He's the natural successor to the last seriously underrated flanker in England, Joe Worsley.

I'm pretty confident (as much as you can be) that Roux will come good.

I've very glad to have him for two more years.

I'd agree that Roux has buckets of potential, and it's easy to forget just how young he is. To be playing at that level as a specialist TH SR is good going.

However, i'd echo the sentiment above. He's been incredibly loose in the last two games. Missed tackles, poor body position at rucks, knock ons etc.
He's not using his considerable bulk to great effect, but when he gets a chance to carry, he's a beast.

Personally, I'd start Dev and Leo on Fri, with Roux to come on, but I also don't see why we're not playing Ben Marshall more, there's a guy who has shown immense potential, and has looked very solid in senior team action this year.

Maybe there's something about Roux and Marshall that we don't see in training, or maybe Roux is in the Amlin squad to keep him at the club, but I can't help but think that we tend to underrate the potential of some of our players at times, ahead of foreigners.

In saying that, with Roux, Marshall, Flanagan and Thornbury all on the way, Leo staying and Dev/Mike Mac there too, we've a good solid core of SR to build on.

Also, hard to believe how young Rhys Ruddock still is. Crazy.

I presume this is on Sky only. Will TG4 do highlights?
Are there any temporary Sky upgrade options (I have their basic €27 package and an on-demand wireless gizmo) to get it via sky go or anything like that.
Thanks for any advice.

Rugbai Corn Heineken starting at 11pm on Friday. As we're playing on Friday I'm guessing that will be our highlights.

Wasps fans opinion on the game. Interesting views on their selection process, I think they reckon they may be defending for the whole game. I hope they're right, I hope we fix our attack and spark something up. I want to see dummies, feints, pop passes, wrap arounds, not just strike runners who are likely to knock on. That'll be key to keeping the likes of Simpson from breaking and putting Daly/Wade into space.

Regarding selections, I think the team will pick itself providing all are fit/not banned. The contentious positions are lock and centre. I think we'll see Cullen and Toner partner up in the second row, with Roux providing some muscle from the bench. In centre I'd expect it'll be Goodman and Darcy at 13 if EOM can't prove his fitness. That means we'll have the best back 3 we can provide; Isa, Ferg and Rob. All danger men if they can find form, although what I'd give for a fit Luke to be fit, that'd change everything.

I'd much prefer Ferg and D'arce in the middle, but it'll probably be Goodman alright.

I'd prefer Ferg in the centre to Goodman but I'd also prefer him on the wing to DK. I think I'm marginally happier with Goodman in the side currently than DK so I'd go for Ferg on the wing. It's a tight call. I think McFadden could get some joy out wide from their wings in terms of positioning. They won't want to deal with his chasing game.
