He really did put in the hard graft and improved massively to fix his early issues and become a underrated and destructive prop. Go well Bent, and thanks for all you've done for us.

He was probably worth a few more caps but it was a close enough call at the time and it would have dug up the old controversy.

Funny enough the same people who'd be digging up said controversy would be the same who were saying we should have dropped Ross for him in the early days.

Didn't hear any of the old controversy being dug up when Benty came on for Ireland today....just respect.... :clap:

There's some lovely footage on Instagram of Benty walking into the changing room and the delight on his and all the squad's faces is pure joy.
