That was coming down here though rather than at home. So no.

Also different stage of the season. But it would be nice.

Nope, decent enough side considering we are threadbare in the lock and prop departments, some playing could do with a week off but that will probably wait.

Ulster team is almost guaranteed to be:
15. Jared Payne, 14. Andrew Trimble, 13. Darren Cave, 12. Luke Marshall, 11. Craig Gilroy, 10. Paddy Jackson, 9. Ruan Pienaar; 1. Tom Court, Rory Best, 3. John Afoa, 4. Iain Henderson, 5. Neil McComb, 6. Nick Williams, 7. Chris Henry (c), 8. Roger Wilson.

16. Rob Herring, 17. Callum Black, 18. Ricky Lutton, 19. Robbie Diack, 20. Mike McComish, 21. Paul Marshall, 22. Paddy Wallace, 23. Mike Allen.

Anybody know what the Leinster team is likely to be or will be?

Your points have some merit. But if you are in a competition you should be doing your best to win it, especially if you have the talent otherwise don't go out on the field.

Would I be unhappy if we were dumped out in the quarters? No. But I would be shocked and dismayed if we went out and played like chyte because we "thought we were above the amlin"

If the lads give it their best shot and lose, I have no issue with that.
I agree. I don't think it reflected particularly well on some of the Munster players who looked like they thought playing in the Amlin was beneath them when they ended up in it.

I also don't think it's particularly fair on the teams that start in the competition that the runners-up from the Heineken Cup drop down. Mind you, this year if you ended up with Munster, Leinster and Toulouse in the Amlin, which is far from impossible with the current standings, the Amlin could end up getting a lot more attention. Wasps would probably be in the mix as well. That would be the last decade's worth of Heineken Cup winners in the Amlin.
To be honest I'd be very surprised indeed if Schmidt and the other senior pros would enter any competition and not want to win it. We cant win the HC every year and being put out by Clermont is no disgrace, most professionals just want to get back on the horse asap and no better way then to end the season with a double and carry some confidence into next season. Especially if we could do it giving some of the fringe youngsters more exposure. There is too much competition in the squad for players to start thinking they can take it easy in any match. Frankly, it does the team a disservice to think they would give anything less than 100%. Anyway we are not out just yet!!

He has not got that quite right, one on bench to start one starter on bench , one position move and at least one other wrong on bench.
Niall O'Connor not on bench or starting.

Craig Gilroy and Darren Cave are two who have had to miss training because of the illness and while the province are not giving up on their availability for the Pro12 clash at Ravenhill tomorrow, the dehydrating effects of the bug and the impact of missing vital practice is bound to have a major effect on their preparations.

Stand-in captain Chris Henry is another who has been unable to train after a family bereavement, adding to the headaches facing coach Mark Anscombe

And poor Anscombe is suffering from headaches too? Poor Ulster, their luck's really out at the moment.

Nasty. Should our players go on the batter on the Guinness tonight to be able to reply in kind, just in case?

Folks , don't know what time you are all travelling at but I would make an earlier start if possible as there are more of these darned flag protests organised for Friday, now previously there have been a few delays on the outer ring road after Shaws Bridge, most of the others are at other end of town from your normal travel and around the city centre. traffic will also be heavy on what is know as black eye Friday with all the offices closing down for holidays and those who drink once a year hitting the bars, I'm sure it's the same in Dublin. Keep an eye on @BBCNITravel and also @PoliceServiceNI on twitter. My own personal advice is aim to be in Belfast around 5 if possible and either head for the ground or the likes of The Errigal or Pavilion bars from where you can walk over in about 20- 30 mins depending on how much Guinness consumed.

Probably BBC NI as well, should you fancy a bit of "extremely athletic" or "superb" commentary.

The Leinster team to face Ulster in Friday night's RaboDirect PRO12 clash in Ravenhill (KO: 7.05pm) has been named...Leo Cullen leads an all-Ireland qualified XV for the trip to Belfast in a selection which mixes youth and experience. Gordon D'Arcy partners Brendan Macken at centre, with Eoin Reddan set to make his 74th appearance at scrum-half where he will link up with Ian Madigan.
Kevin McLaughlin returns to the back-row alongside fellow internationals Jamie Heaslip and Sean O'Brien, while tight-head prop Michael Bent will make his second start for the province after being named alongside hooker Sean Cronin and Cian Healy in the front row.

Former CBS Naas back Adam Byrne is named on the bench and is in line to make his senior bow after impressing with two tries for the British & Irish Cup side in last weekend's victory over Jersey.

Byrne features on a replacements bench alongside the likes of Isaac Boss and Rhys Ruddock.
