I share your misgivings in general about Barnes but I'm not buying into any conspiracy theory.

D2, I'm sure your son will have a fantastic day and that the teams will get the reception they deserve. Of all the fecking matches I have to miss....

One man i'd really worry most about tomorrow is Barnes. He has been anything but a homer for the past few month when i've seen him in the AP except when reffing Leicester in Welford road. Seems to be making a point of giving the away team as much ( if not more) as the fancied home side. And let's not forget his rubbish last April in getting Clermont marched into position for that last minute drive - one very dubious pen if I remember correctly, SOB given forward when he was never, and referring Sexton's penalty to the TMO.

It's a worry is all i'm saying, especially after the absolute riding Munster got last week. With the BT cup looming and French and English audiences more important factors than ever for the Heineken Cup's continued viability, it would be great for the ERC if a record number of English and French clubs made it through to the playoffs, keeping the tournament more interesting in their eyes, and ultimately helping them keep control long-term of the multi-million euro industry that is European rugby - how many of the English/French clubs will vote to leave if they have 7 teams in the playoffs?.

I'm not saying they've told Barnes how to ref the game.......alls i'm saying is that's what I would do.
and you think we are not worried about Barnes ourselves ?
Bah, who trusts the English anyway :p

Irish people just can't cope with being favourites! I think the team can though.

As for Barnes, no doubt he will earn my displeasure today. Don't forget that Parra was complaining about how we played the ref last week. Another like that from the lads will do nicely.

Have a great day (spoiled only by the match) ASM fans, look forward to seeing you at the ground.

Given the quality of both teams and fans, whoever wins this game, I'm sure it will not spoil a beautiful day.
It may only add to the pleasure ;)

It's a great line VGE but, as an ASM fan you know this more than most, home advantage counts for a lot :D .

Bon match

I'm praying that this isnt a close game with a brilliant finish. I have a fupping exam at 6 and have to leave probabally 10 mins earlier! I wont be able to concentrate at a all for at least an hour after the game either, will either be sitting in the exam hall with a big goofy grin or wiping up tears with my paper!

Yep.... but you know you need to have the right team to keep the home advantage. You have it today, we had too last week.
No doubt that if you play as usual you'll win. No doubt also that if we don't play as usual you might struggle a bit to play as usual

OHHHH MY GOD SO EXCITED FOR THIS....

oh no, wait, I'm going to be sitting a fu*king exam whilst the game is on.

Enjoy the game though! I hope to be out apres to mingle with some of my favourite visiting fans, Les Jaunards!!

Hopefully I wont be able to hear the screaming crowds from the UCD exam halls...thank God the game isn't in the RDS is all I can say, that would be too much.

I just had this strange thought - "Would a time machine not make our lives very dull".
The feeling of anticipation for games like this is awesome.

The BODha is on Sky and he's a natural, great insights, smooth delivery and outstanding authority.
If he goes the TV rout he will continue to entertain us long after he hangs up the boots - More anticipation.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Shows how strong this team is getting that we've picked a front five (possibly) to target the scrum of one of the best teams in France
Bit worried about line out as no Locky and Browne doesnt get up too high

Skrela is in trouble if he starts; one of the more famous SOB roadkills :)

I think starting Reddan was a huge mistake by Scmidt.

Barnes has ruined us. 9 penalty offences against us, 5m out and no sign of a card. 1 early tackle and it's a yellow.
